Wir vergleichen zwei der aktuell schnellsten SSDs. Die Samsung 980 PRO SSD ist die erste M.2 SSD von Samsung, die über die schnelle PCIe 4.0 Schnittstelle angebunden wird. Schon länger gibt es die Corsair MP600 SSD, die ebenfalls über PCIe 4.0 angeschlossen wird. Wie die Testresultate im Video zeigen, sind beide SSDs sehr schnell. Der Unterschied liegt in der unterschiedlichen Verarbeitung der Daten. Die Samsung 980 PRO SSD ist schneller wenn grössere Datenmengen bearbeitet werden während die Corsair MP600 SSD im Vorteil ist wenn die Datenmengen kleiner sind. Welche SSD ist nun die bessere Lösung? Wir empfehlen für "private" Anwendungen wie Office oder Gaming die Corsair MP600 SSD, denn bei diesen Aufgaben werden eher kleine Datenmengen gelesen und geschrieben. Crystal Disk Mark Benchmarks Read/Write speeds of HDD, SSD and M.2 NVMe drives displays what they are optimally able to read/write. I wanted to test the write speeds to these drives by copying 20GB of 4K videos to them. NVMe drives are still pretty expensive compared to their SSD and HDD counterparts. I wanted to see if these drives would improve the efficiency of my workflows. The results were surprising to me. The Corsair MP600 1TB M.2 NVME is $346 cdn (as of Jan 2020) The intel 660P 1TB M.2 NVME is $149 cd (as of Jan 2020) Even though the Corsair is faster read/write speed (4800mb/s versus 1800 mb/s) of the Intel 660P, the amount of time it took to copy 20GB of 4K footage was the same. *Yes, Intel 660P uses different technology (NAND QLC) vs Corsair (3D TLC NAND) which accounts for the price difference. For this video, I was interested in just benchmarking the write speeds.

This is a tutorial on how to remove the stock heatsink on a CORSAIR M.2 NVMe SSD such as the MP600, MP600 CORE, MP600 PRO, and MP600 PRO XT in case you wish to install your SSD in a motherboard with onboard cooling, an external enclosure with adequate cooling, or a game console (which may require a low-profile heatsink).
