Review: 4/5 Decent Cable, Holds Well, but Slightly Bulky Connectors. It is a decent 6 foot micro USB cable. The connectors holds on pretty well, tighter than my existing cable, but not overly tightly either. I've had some cables that held too tightly that seemed to require too much force to remove, but this strikes a good balance. The cable is a little thicker than some, which might help protect the cable when strung out 6 feet. The plastic connectors are a bit bulky. The underlying metal connectors themselves seemed identical to any others that I have had, except about the tightness which I think it strikes a good balance. The cable overall seems like a decent cable that does the job, but doesn't seem special or supple like some premium cables if you wanted it to feel elegant. The plastic grip at the connectors is slightly bulky compared to some other cables. The plastic on the micro connector is as thick as my Nokia Lumia 910. On both ends, the plastic grip is overall larger (longer and ticker) than the cable that came with my phone. It might be a positive for some if you wanted more to grip onto. For others, it just makes the cable feel a bit less elegant than some cables. But make sure you actually need a micro USB 2.0. It is very close in size to mini USB 2.0. Micro USB 3.0 is not the same connector as micro USB 2.0. I compare and show the ports & connectors in the video if you are unsure. But at the time of this review, most non-Apple smart phones seem to use micro USB 2.0.

Review: 4/5 Nice Low Profile, Can Use USB Port for Others (BYOC), Very Bright LED. This contains (1) a generic USB charger, plus (2) a USB to Apple 30-pin connector cable. So if you have an iPhone 4S or below, or iPod with 30-pin connector, then this kit is really for you. Others can still make use of the USB charger, but bring your own cable. It is a small, compact charger that doesn't stick out of your cigarette lighter very far, which is nice to have a low profile. The light is surprisingly bright (as shown in the video). For some, it might be too bright. For others it is a welcome bright light you can actually see in the sunlight. A small piece of electrical tape would do to cover it partially if it really bothers you. But is bright enough that you will know for sure it is on, especially at night. The bottom line is that it works, is a nice low profile, and has a light bright enough to see in the sunshine, but some may not like the brightness at night. You can use the USB charger with nearly any device provided you use your own USB charging cable. Most phone chargers are just a USB plug for a power outlet plus the USB cable to whatever port the device has. The cable they provide is for the older Apple connector prior to the iPhone 5, such as the iPhone 4S or below. Otherwise you need to remember to bring your existing cable with you. In my case, I have an iPhone 5 and a Nokia Lumia 920 Windows 8 Phone, both with USB wall chargers and cables. So I can just use those existing cables. But if you want to leave the cable in the car, you will need to buy the cable separately, or buy a car charger that comes with the correct extra cable to match your device.

Review: 5/5 Good USB 3.0 Micro Cable, But Make Sure You Have a 3.0 Micro Port. If you have a USB *3.0* micro port, then this is a good quality cable. But make sure you actually have a 3.0 micro port, which is wider with a notch, and is *not* the same as a tiny USB 2.0 micro port. I show some port comparisons in the video at the 1 minute mark. Most cell phones and tiny portable devices use tiny USB 2.0 micro ports (at least as of 2013), and cannot be used with this. But most USB 3.0 external drives will use this port. So just verify what port you actually have before ordering, and compare to the pictured micro end of the cable (or compared in the video). It is a good quality USB 3.0 micro connector cable. It seems slightly more sturdy than the stock cable that came with my external drive. As a relatively short (3 feet) digital cable, signal quality shouldn't be a problem on any digital cable. The micro end is colored blue, which isn't always the case. The connectors otherwise seem standard. The thickness is where you feel like it is more sturdy. It does the job. Beware the Amazon description (if they haven't fixed it yet) about it being a USB *3.0* micro port, not your usual micro USB of the past. The actual packaging is clear.
