In today's episode, we put Noctua's cooler to the test. We have the NH-D15s tested at the stock configuration and with two fans, so practically as NH-D15, and the NH-U9s at stock and with two fans installed. These coolers won't only fight each other, an easy task for the D15(s), but will be also compared to all high-end AIOs. Both coolers look great, with the NH-D15(s) addressing enthusiast users with large chassis, while the NH-U9s is for smaller mainboards and chassis with restricted interior space. Two high-end coolers from Noctua also look nice! The NH-D15s is for enthusiast users who need low noise and top-notch performance. As you already saw in the performance charts, there is no huge difference, only 3.7%, with the NH-D15, which uses two fans. The NH-U9s is for lower Wattage CPUs, so it has a hard time in my loader, applying up to 500W heat loads. With a single fan installed, it won’t be able to handle a power-hungry CPU. The performance difference with a second fan is huge, but performance is way lower than the D15 and D15s. Both coolers are dead silent, and the D15s impressed me with its high performance. The build quality is astonishing in these products, and the same goes for Noctua’s support if you ever need it. The purchase of a Noctua cooler or fan is actually an investment.
