I check out the Razer RAION the 8bitDo M30, the Hori Fighting Commander and the Power A Fusion fight pad. I give my opinions and thoughts on these and just fight pads in general for fighting games. I think the main argument we're making here is that for retro games or 2D games - the Hori is superior. The dpad on the 8bitdo cannot stand up very well in intense situations like for fighting games but the Hori can. That means when it comes to the dpad, 8bitdo's clearly is not the best out there as some reviewers say. For example is a video that breaks down the internals and issues with the 8bitdo as well. and shows the issues with the Dpad as well. This guy went to all this work to fix the dpad and still recommends it in the end for some reason. And when it comes to more modern games yes the Hori fighting commander does not come with analog sticks like the 8bitdo does, but then we cannot cannot claim that the 8bitdo is the best all around controller because if the dpad isn't good then how can the 8bitdo be the best all around? Any other 3rd party controller all come with analog sticks too. That's what we're getting at in the video ... it's about how the dpad in the 8bitdo actually sucks and isn't as good as other reviewers claim. We're not claiming that people won't like playing the 8bitdo - clearly most people are happy with it because they are not using it for intense fighting games. For most other genres the dpad isn't used as much or as intensely so it'll probably be fine, all we're saying is.. it's not the best dpad or best all around controller as people claim, and 8bitdo markets it as being 'just like you remember' when clearly the feel isn't the same as the SNES controller at all. My friend played one of the guys in the comments section here who claimed that it was him and not the 8bitdo controller: watch till the very end ;) Also made a follow up video here:
