This video demonstrates how to log into the ultra-secure DataTraveler 2000 and how to set your personal PIN. Kingston’s DataTraveler 2000 USB Flash drive has 256-bit AES hardware encryption to protect data. It’s OS independent, with no software required. The video covers PIN requirements, including that PINs be 7–15 digits in length and must not contain only repetitive numbers nor only consecutive numbers. To protect data from brute force, if the user enters an incorrect PIN ten consecutive times, the encryption key will be deleted along with all data on the drive. The drive will have to be reformatted.

I review the Kingston DT2000 encrypted drive featuring a keypad. You can locks the drive with a or number combination for protection. The auto-lock feature is activated when the drive is removed from a device, and it deletes the encryption key after 10 failed intrusion attempts. It features hardware-based, full disk AES 256-bit data encryption in XTS mode. Encryption is done on the drive, not on the host computer, and no trace of the PIN is left on the system, for an advanced level of security. DataTraveler 2000 is OS independent and can be used on any device with a USB 2.0 or USB 3.1 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) port. Всем привет! Это видео о запуске игр на не прошитых консолях с помощью карты памяти с установленным фрибутом. Инструкция: 1. Запись игр менее 4 гигабайт Скачиваем игру. Обычно она выглядит как архив в формате «rar», сам же файл игры должен быть в формате «iso». Распаковываем архив через программу «WInRAR». Открываем папку, где должна быть игра в формате «iso» Если игра занимает менее 4 гигабайт, то ее просто нужно скопировать на флешку в папку «DVD». В названии файла должен быть указан формат региона, например: for speed–Hot « . » где «SLES_» - это регион, а «.» код игры. Этот код указан если открыть сам файл игры через архиватор Теперь необходимо сделать дефрагментацию флешки. Без этого игры не будут нормально работать или вообще не запустяться! Например, белый экран, тормоза в самой игре. Для дефрагментации можно использовать программу «Auslogics Disk Defrag» либо воспользоваться стандартной программой: Пуск\ все программы\ стандартные\ служебные\ дефрагментация диска. Consumer USB flash drives are cheap, growing in capacity and shrinking in physical size. There are only around 15 prominent controller chip manufacturers whom you have never heard of, but OEM for all the popular and respected "name brands" on the market. These flash controllers have capabilities that aren't mentioned on product packaging, and can be enabled with programming you will learn during this presentation. These flash controllers can be *reprogrammed entirely* via software to do whatever you want. Turn an old flash drive into an emulated CDROM or a CDROM + flash drive. Update the controller's firmware, disassemble it, etc. This talk will touch on the various controller manufacturers, features, and show you how to leverage them for yourself. . The Kingston Digital 16GB Data Traveler MicroDuo is a great little keychain USB tool which makes it a snap to transfer files to and from your mobile phone and tablet, computer or other device. The secret is the fact that it contains both a microUSB and standard USB connector on either end, as well as on-board flash storage (we tested the 16GB model). There' s not much to say about it, except it works as advertised. Plug it into your phone, use any standard file manager to grab your files, then plug it into another phone or computer etc and move the files off. Job done. It's way faster than Bluetooth transfers (especially for things like large video file transfers) and is small enough that you won't notice it on your keychain. Brilliant little gadget. SSD vs Flash Storage In this video we’re going to discuss the difference between flash storage and SSD When discussing computer storage capabilities, the terms ‘flash storage’ and ‘SSD’ are used quite commonly. You might be wondering if these terms are interchangeable or are they different types of storage. Even computer experts tend to use these terms in place of one another but SSD storage and flash storage are, technically, different. Despite the differences, they are closely related. SSD storage is made up mostly of flash storage but it has additional components and capabilities. To make the discussion more confusing, however, there are also SSDs made without the use of flash storage. Thus, it is probably easiest to answer this question with a description of what flash storage is. Flash storage is commonly used, and it is made from silicone chips. Information can be written on these chips and erased via electrical input from a computer or phone. It is faster than other types of storage, mainly because it doesn’t utilize any moving parts. Flash storage can also keep information stored even without a continuous supply of power, unlike the RAM on a computer. Finally, flash storage can be rewritten and overridden hundreds of times with no consequences. Everyone who has tried to rewrite a CD knows that this is not the case with all types of storage. An SSD, conversely, is a storage device – not a storage medium. Usually, SSDs are added to a computer and can be upgraded or replaced aftermarket. Many SSDs are made with flash storage. SSD stands for ‘solid state drive’ and flash storage doesn’t have any moving parts. Hence, this is where the solid title comes from. Unfortunately, there are other types of non-moving storage that are sometimes used in SSDs, thus complicating the matter. In most cases, SSDs utilize a combination of flash storage and another medium, as this has proven an effective way to add storage to a computer. SSDs often get confused with HDDs, usually due to the similar-sounding name. HDDs, or ‘hard disk drives’ are another type of computer storage. They store information on moving disks and are the oldest storage method for computers and other technology. Apart from the fan, you can often hear these disks spinning when you turn on a computer. While HDDs work well, to a point, their moving parts subject them to a significant amount of complication. They are still used in some cases because they can store a significant amount of information, but they aren’t as widespread as SSDs with flash. Is Apple flash storage the same as SSD? This is another common question that comes up when discussing storage. Apple specifically is mentioned because, unlike PC, the company doesn’t always provide the full technical information for their products. On most Apple computers, the flash storage is connected directly to the motherboard at the time of production. This is flash storage utilization and not SSD, because SSDs are connected in a removable fashion whereas integrated flash storage is not. This improves performance for Apple computers but makes them impossible to upgrade once they become older. If you have been researching storage methods, you may have heard or read about something called ‘NAND.’ In easy to understand terms, NAND is a form of flash storage. It is common in removable USB drives as well as in SSDs. NAND specifically refers to a certain method of cell organization that is used to store the data that is written on it. Only recently did NAND technology become affordable enough to be used on SSDs, as much more memory is required in this application than for a USB drive. NAND is limited in the amount of rewrites the storage can handle, however, so it is not currently suitable for server usage. Many computer experts agree that flash storage devices are the best form of storage because they last longer than a flash drive and are faster than most SSDs. This is an odd comparison, however, because flash storage is a more specific type of SSD that uses only one form of storage. When well-maintained, flash storage can last for a shockingly long time, unlike NAND USB drives which have an estimated limit of three years with heavy usage. While there is a massive jump in cost between flash storage and SSDs, the performance increase is well worth it for users with a need for it.

The other end is a lightning adapter for iOS devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Plugging an iOS device into the c20i while connected to a PC or Mac will charge the iOS device. When connected only to an iOS device files on the C20i can be accessed via a free app from Lexar. The app will play back video and audio files and has some limited note taking and recording capabilities. Unfortunately this won't solve the problem of playing back protected content that was purchased from iTunes or another online service. So this won't be a solution for offloading iTunes store purchases from an iPad or iPhone - the app simply can't play the files even if they are copied to the C20i from a computer. Non protected video files played back fine, including some MKV files encoded with the open source mileage will vary of course. The ability to download YouTube content to the device is interesting - especially given that it doesn't require a lot of effort to make work. Just playing back the video on YouTube from within the Lexar app will download it the iPad or iPhone and it can then be copied over to the C20i. The only downside to this is that it will eat up the iOS device's storage until the file is moved to the C20i. The app itself feels a bit clunky and buggy. It does not have a landscape mode for its interface (although movies do play back in landscape mode). Additionally the app is not compatible with iOS extensions so it's not possible to edit and save files from external applications like Apple's Pages or Numbers. Lexar formatted the c20i with the Fat32 file format. This limits file sizes to 4GB each - not enough for HD movies. I was able to reformat the drive to exFAT and still have it be accessible by my iPad and iPhone. Bottom line? It's no worse than its competition and in some ways a little bit better. Like its competitors it won't play protected iTunes files and as such will not solve the problem that many consumers researching this product are hoping to solve. It’s easy to reset Kingston’s DataTraveler 2000 USB Flash drive to the default PIN and erase the data, when needed. DT2000 is an ultra-secure keypad drive with 256-bit AES hardware encryption. It’s OS independent, with no software required. The reset operation is handy when the user has forgotten their PIN or when IT professionals need to reset the drive for a new user. Please note that all data will be erased and data recovery will not be possible once a new encryption key is created. The drive will revert to the default PIN and will now have to be reformatted.

Welcome to the newest episode of TECH U THROUGH In this episode, I will guide You through all the necessary steps on how to create a bootable macOS Big Sur USB Flash, by using the Macs Terminal app. And here are all the steps You need to know: Step 1 Format flash drive as macOS Extended Journaled (HFS+) via Disk Utility. APFS-formatted drives cannot be used to create the macOS Big Sur USB installer. Step 2 Download the macOS Big Sur installation file from the Mac App Store Step 3 Open Finder → Applications. Right-click on Install macOS Big Sur → Show Package Contents. Open Contents → Resources (createinstallmedia) Step 4 Launch Terminal app Type sudo followed by an empty space using spacebar button in the Terminal window. Step 5 Drag createinstallmedia to the Terminal window from the Resources folder Step 6 Type --volume followed by an empty space using spacebar Step 7 Open Finder → Go → Go To Folder… In the ‘Go to the folder’ box type /Volumes and click the Go button. Step 8 Connect a USB flash drive to your Mac. It should appear in the Finder window. Full review at The iStorage datAshur Secure Flash Drive is a conventional type flash drive with a twist. It comes with a full blown data encryption and PIN security system on board, which makes sure that even if someone gets hold of your drive, they won't be able to access the information stored on it. Unless it's the CIA of course. The drive comes with a decent enough user guide, which is a good thing because you need to pay attention to ensure you use the thing properly. There's a particular order in which you have to enter and/or set up your PIN code, in order to access the data properly. But once you get the hang of it, it's pretty cool how effortless it is to keep your data secure. Just add the data from your computer, take the drive out and it automatically locks. When you want to access it, enter the PIN number and within 30 seconds insert the drive into the computer and it's available for free access. That's it. All the encryption is done on the fly with no user intervention needed, which is cool. Just set and forget, which is how this sort of tool should be. The only thing is the keypad can be kind of fiddly to use, which is made even trickier when you have one eye on the blinking LED lights counting down till the thing locks up on you again.
