This is a quick look at the first generation Tamron AF28-300mm F/ XR Di VC LD Aspherical [IF] MACRO. I have some photos from this lens in a gallery here: This is a good super-zoom with image stabilization for a full frame camera. The Nikon 28-300mm VR lens is certainly better quality overall, but the Nikon version is also much more expensive and heavier. If you need a good quality lens on a budget and very fast/quiet focusing is something you can live without, this is a very good lens to have. The lens is made in Japan. Video recorded on the Sony a6000 with 16-50mm kit lens.

As you zoom in and out, the air goes in and out to/from the lens, and due to this the lens collects dust inside. Mostly the dust is between the front lens and the second lens element. Fortunately, the front lens can be removed very easily, don't need to completely disassemble the lens. Пошел в зоопарк пофоткать - сломался объектив. Сделал пару фоток айфоном. Одно расстройство. Объектив новый почти - месяц всего. Tamron sp af17-50mm f/2.8 xr di 2 vc со стабом. Выдает ошибку Err 01 при попытке сфоткать на любом значении диафрагмы, кроме 1-го - 2.8 Видимо проблема в шлейфе. Думал по гарантии чинить, но уже вижу что объектив серый, без русской инструкции. Не возьмут бесплатно блин.. Не люблю я эти проблемы. Интересно во что обойдется ремонт...

This f/2.8 lens is revolutionary in size due to XR technology created by Tamron. Watch the video or read the following for more information. Low dispersion (LD) glass reduces chromatic aberration, at the long and short focal lengths, where most aberration occurs. Extra Refractive (XR) glass bends light at much steeper angles. Lenses can be made smaller, shorter and lighter because of XR glass. Size goes down, image quality goes up. An internal focusing (IF) system minimizes illumination loss and other aberrations. It also provides a much closer minimum focusing distance (MFD) throughout the whole focus range. Aspherical lens elements (ASL) provide extraordinary quality in a small package. Virtually all spherical aberration and image distortion is removed with ASL. Di design lens lets you use this lens on cameras with full-frame, APS-C and 35mm film. Zoom lock (ZL) - stop undesired extension of you lens when carrying the camera. "I was a little curious of Tamron's build quality, but this SP lens is very good quality, especially for the money. Hello friends, I got this Tamron by mistake. I bought a Nikkor 18-105 broken, idea was to fix it. Got this better lens instead. Informed the seller that he sent me the wrong lens and proposed to send it back, never got an answer. So, after 6 or so months on a shelf, I decided to give it a go.
