Transfer Roller Removal and Replacement 1. Open toner access door and tray 1. 2. Remove toner cartridge. 3. Lift the gear (left side) of the transfer roller up. 4. Slide to the left and remove. 5. Slide right side of replacement roller into right bushing. 6. Align left side collar making sure the open end is face down and push in. CAUTION: Do not touch the surface of the transfer roller. Contact with skin can cause print quality problems.. Tray 2 Feed and Separation Roller Removal and Replacement 1. Remove the tray from the printer. 2. On the tray, lift the roller cover next to the roller. 3. Pinch the blue tab and slide the roller off the shaft. 4. Slide new roller on making sure the tab locks. 5. Locate the feed roller in the top of the tray cavity. 6. Repeat steps 3 and 4. NOTE: The removal and replacement process are the same for the feed and separation rollers on tray 3 and the 1500 sheet feeder. Fusing Assembly Removal and Replacement 1. Open rear output bin/face up tray. 2. Remove output bin from printer. a.) Locate the left side hinge pin (there is a finger notch) squeeze the left hinge pin to the right to release it from its mounting hole. 3. Slide the output bin to the left to remove from printer. 4. Pinch the blue tabs on the fuser and pull fuser out of printer. 5. Push the new fuser into the printer making sure both blue tabs lock. 6. Install the rear output bin/face up tray and check for proper operation. Resetting the Maintenance Count 1. At the control panel, press the Home () button. 2. Use the down arrow button () to select ‘ADMINISTRATION’ then press the OK button. 3. Use the down arrow button to select ‘MANAGE SUPPLIES’ then press the OK button. 4. Use the down arrow button to select ‘RESET SUPPLIES’ then press the OK button. 5. Use the down arrow button to select ‘NEW MAINTENANCE KIT’ then press the OK button. 6. Use the down arrow button to select ‘YES’ then press the OK button. 7. The display should show ‘SETTINGS WERE SAVED SUCCESSFULLY’. 8. Print a configuration page. Ensure the ‘Pages since last maintenance’ entry is set to zero.

The fuser is an important component in the LaserJet printers of HP. The component creates the print on the page by fusing the toner powder. Also, you need to make sure that the power cord of your device is not broken. Additionally, you can shut down your printer and wait for it to cool down before restarting it. We’ll also show you the different types of printer fuser errors that you can encounter.  Now, you may continue reading further. What is a Fuser Error on Your HP Printer and What are its Types? The fuser error on HP printers is a type of problem that indicates that the temperature of this component is increasing. There are also different types of fuser errors that you may come across such as 50.6, 50.4, 50.2 fuser errors, etc.  Below, we have listed all the types of fuser errors and their causes: 50.1 Fuser Error: It is caused due to low fuser temperature of the thermistor. 50.2 Fuser Error: This error message shows up when the fuser has not warmed up enough to get started. 50.3 Error: The 50.3 fuser error in HP printers shows up due to the high temperature of the thermistor. 50.4 Bad Fuser Error: This usually means drive circuit failure. 50.6 Fuser Error: It indicates the low temperature of the fuser. HP 50.7 Fuser Problem: Whenever you see this error on your printer, this generally means that the fuser temperature is low. 50.8 Fuser Error in HP: The high fuser temperature of the thermistor can be the cause behind this error pop-up. HP 50.9 Fuser Issue: You may have mistakenly installed the wrong fuser in your printer. Causes of the Fuser Error in Printer We have further listed the causes of the fuser error here: The paper you have installed in the input tray may not be supported by your Lexmark printer. Then the service fuser error may show up. A sudden boost in the temperature of the printer may lead to damage or loss of the fuser kit. The registry of your system may be corrupted. Thus, it may have led to this error. The power circuit of the printer may not be properly run. Fixes to Solve the HP Printer Fuser Error The fixes to solve the fuser error includes reinstalling this part in the printer. Also, ensure that the power supply for your printer is not abnormally supplying the power which may also lead to this error. Another, possible way to resolve this error is by restarting your printer to cool down its temperature. You need to make sure that you have placed the printer at room temperature Fix 1: Reinstalling the Fuser in Your HP Printer You can rectify this error by unplugging your HP printer from the power source and let the temperature come down for some time. Then remove the fuser and reinstall it again. Make sure you insert the fuser correctly by pressing it from both sides. Ensure that the fuser is in its place by gently moving the fuser back and forth.  You can follow the step-by-step instructions to follow the above-given method: Turn off your HP printer. Unplug it from the power source. Make sure that there are no loose ends in the power cable. Remove the fuser and let the temperature cool down. Insert the fuser carefully into the printer. When the fuser is inserted properly into the printer, you will hear a “click” sound from both sides of the printer. Make sure the fuser is secure by gently moving it back and forth. After you have inserted the fuser in the printer, turn on your printer. Ensure that all the cable connections are stable and correct.  Fix 2 Check the Power Source of Your Printer Another probable cause for the 50.2 fuser error to occur in HP printers can be an abnormal transmission of the power supply from the power source. This may further lead to a breakdown in the power line. You need to ensure that you are using a plug that is recommended for printers. The plug intended for printers is different from any normal plug.  Fix 3 Check the Environment Make sure that your HP printer is not placed in a very cold or hot environment. Such an environment can cause a drastic increase or decrease in the temperature of the printer. Ensure that your device is placed at room temperature to avoid such a problem.  Fix 4 Change the Fuser There might be a possibility that the error may not have been resolved by now. If this is the case, then eliminate and reset the fusing assembly. Try this process one more time and if the issue still persists, replacing your fuser might be the best option for you.

At room temperature, the grease applied inside the sleeve thickens and may actually prevent the sleeve from spinning. When the fuser is installed and run in the printer, the grease will heat up and attain proper viscosity. Start by making sure the printer is off for at least 15 minutes and unplugged.
