New 2-Bay NAS for a New Decade – Does the TS-251D Deserve Your Data? If you have found this NAS review, then chances are that you already know a little about the QNAP TS-251D. In fact, I will go a little further. There is a good chance that you (yes, you reading this) are one of the people that were looking to buy a new NAS solution at the end of 2019 and found that…well… nothing was released. Yes, there was a tonne of high-end enterprise rackmounts, along with a bundle of new software improvements – but for the home or small business owner, the NAS scene was pretty quiet. There was plenty of reasons for this, ranging from a constantly evolving world economy, the hardware shortages, to changes in cloud trends and a little bit of uncertainty to boot. Whatever the reason, the usually busy September-December period of 2019 was oddly quiet. However, the more I hear, the more I am convinced that 2020 is looking ridiculously busy! The new TS-251D is a step into a new decade for QNAP NAS and with it, we see a much more mature, established and self-assured company than ever before. With a newer generation of pretty much, every hardware component in the TS-251D over its predecessor (the TS-251B), there is alot to love, but is this new QNAP NAS just a rehash of the old or are we looking at a 2-Bay that is exactly what we needed! QNAP czy SYNOLOGY? Takie pytanie zadaje sobie każda osoba, która poważnie myśli o zakupie serwera NAS. Który system NAS jest lepszy, QTS dostarczany przez QNAP czy DSM od Synology? W odcinku QNAP vs SYNOLOGY postarałem się podejść do rywalizacji pomiędzy tymi dwoma konkurencyjnymi rozwiązaniami bez żadnych uprzedzeń. Serwerów NAS Synology używałem od wielu lat. Dlatego przedstawiłem w odcinku porównanie z mojej perspektywy. Pokazałem jak w NAS QNAP wyglądają funkcję i aplikacje, z których korzystałem właśnie w serwerach NAS Synology i jakie są pomiędzy nimi różnice. Nie poruszałem tu funkcjonalności i aplikacji, które działają bardzo podobnie, czyli chociażby QNAP QSync czy Synology Drive, które działają na zasadzie prywatnej chmury danych. Skupiłem się głównie na różnicach, a jest ich całkiem sporo. Od podstawowej jaką jest system plików BTRFS stosowany w NAS Synology vs EXT4 w serwerach NAS QNAP po współpracę z UPS'em, obsługą Dockera czy Container Station, a na aplikacji do monitoringu IP czyli Synology Surveillance Station vs QNAP QVR Pro kończąc. 新年あけましておめでとうございます。2020年1本目は、リハビリも兼ねて「NAS」の動画を作ってみたよ。なるべく低予算で高性能な10 GbE対応のNAS環境を組んだので、「速いNAS」を作りたい人には参考になるかも...です。 ・ちもろぐ公式Twitter → ・ちもろぐブログ版 → ---------- ・NAS本体と増設パーツ 「QNAP TS-251B」→ 「メモリ」→ 「10GbE NIC」→ ふと思いましたが、TS-251Bと10G NICで約5万円になっているので、いっそのこと「TS-431X2」を選んだほうが何かとコスパは良さそうです。TS-431X2には最初から10G SFP+が付いているんですよね（あれ？なんでTS-251Bなんて選んだんだろう・・・）。 「QNAP TS-431X2」→ ・10GbE対応ケーブル 「10G SFP+DAC」→ 「RJ45 to SFP+変換」→ TS-431X2を選んでおけば、バカ高い変換コネクタを買う必要も無かったね。やっぱりヒトって、間違ってるかどうかなんて後にならないと分からないものです。 ・格安な10Gスイッチングハブ 「MikroTik CRS305」→ 「MikroTik CRS309」→ 「MikroTik CRS312」→ MikroTik（マイクロテック）のCRSシリーズはホントにコスパが凄いです。上から順番に、CRS305が4ポート、CRS309が8ポート、CRS312が12ポートモデルです。 ---------- Music Credit:Approaching Nirvana ----------
