Introducing my HYTE Y60 Blackout Gaming PC Build. 00:00 - Intro 01:57 - NZXT Z690 Assembly 04:09 - HYTE Y60 Assembly 07:37 - Airflow Visualisations & Configs 08:50 - Cinematic B-Roll This is my first build in the HYTE Y60 and I have to say, what a pleasurable building experience indeed! Hyte reached out to me a short while ago to discuss the idea of creating a subtle, airflow focussed build showcasing just how great the airflow is in the Y60 if done correctly. Needless to say, it certainly is impressive. Following the build sequence I tested and filmed 4 common configurations and each worked exactly as intended moving air quickly and efficiently through the case keeping temperatures cool under load. On average, the CPU idle temps were 27c and load peaked 68c once. GPU temps idle at 37c and maxed at 66c under load. The hardware chosen for this build was made possible by HYTE themselves, as this build was one of two which I assembled and had shipped from the UK to Sweden for a demo show. If you want to see the second build which boasts RGB, all white and a full length display, keep you eyes on my social media over the coming days. This is one of the most unique cases we've reviewed in a while. The Hyte Y60 is of high build quality, but also missteps in several key ways. Still, the Y60 does new things in the case market. Sponsor: EVGA X570 Dark: Hyte is owned by iBUYPOWER, but the difference is that the Hyte team is actually making things that -- thus far -- don't fall apart if they're looked at wrong. Hyte has to establish itself on its own brand credibility and it started with the Revolt 3. Now, Hyte is selling the Y60 ATX case for water cooling builds (although air cooling builds can also work here). There are several potential pitfalls or shortcomings in the case for specific builds, but as long as you choose the right parts to synergize with it and build in the correct order, the Hyte Y60 makes for an interesting and unique case. Build quality was overall excellent, with shortcomings mostly in filters, airflow, and build order (or ease of installation). Even with those negatives, the Y60 is one of the best ATX cases we've reviewed lately. I've had my previous ITX PC Build for over 6 years now, if you've been following the channel for a while you've probably either seen me upgrading/working on it or just having it in the background for all my videos! Even though I am very close to the NZXT Manta that accompanied me all these years, an ITX PC was getting a bit too small for me, especially with how big the new GPUs are getting and considered that I now use it mostly for productivity work instead of gaming. I took the release of the new Crucial T700 Pcie Gen5 SSD as the right time to make a BIG upgrade in what I use everyday, going from 3000Mb/s in my old Samsung 970 Evo to the 12000Mb/s of the new T700. I paired that with a Verbatim Vi7000 for extra storage and was finally able to get to 4TB combined NvMe storage, crucial (pun intended) for my workflow! I put all that on a MSI X670-P WiFi motherboard with a Ryzen 9 7900X, simply because I was able to get the combo for a good deal. To cool the 7900X, I partered with Deepcool and used the LT720 in White edition, since my previous PC as well had an Infinity mirror AIO, the original NZXT Kraken X62. To handle all that, I decided to go with the case that I believe to be the better looking one that came out recently, the Hyte Y60, reinforcing the cooling department with some Arctic P14 ARGB and P12 ARGB White, all previously reviewed on the channel! I've undervolted all of it and I can now play Apex at 3440x1440p easily, with the new Hexcontroller that I got, as well as editing much better! HYTE Unveiled their new HYTE Y40 Case, a smaller-sized HYTE Y60 case without that glass corner panel and a more traditional case form factor. It retains the beautiful panoramic view of the internals of your computer and the vertical GPU riser so you can show off the most expensive thing you own. Unfortunately, it only supports half-sized PCI-E cards and one full-sized PCI-E slot for the GPU. Hopefully, they will make a case option that allows for more full-sized cards in the future.
