In this video I'm showing the wiring logic for NZXT F120 and F140 RGB Duo fans. From how to connect a single fan to what to do when you have three, four, five, six or more NZXT fans to install in your system. There are various things to keep in mind here as the fans have both RGB and fan power connections, so you need the right connectors to get everything working. The standard NZXT F120 and F140 RGB Duo fan packs come with an RGB controller that you can use to connect the fans RGB up to. This then connects to SATA power on your PSU and the USB header on your motherboard. These controllers are only designed for three fans though, so you'll soon find if you're adding loads of fans that you're going to run into problems where you need more USB headers. The solution there is a USB splitter (link below). It's also worth noting that it's a lot easier if you use the NZXT fan controller. There's a V2 of this controller that allows for connection of up to 9 of these fans in terms of power connections which makes life a lot easier when wiring these. It's an additional purchase but well worth getting in my opinion. I'm also going to show you how to connect these fans to your all in one controller too! In this video I show you how to Daisy Chain the NZXT RGB fans in the NZXT h510i elite case. You’re gonna need to buy one 140mm fan and one 120mm fan. The NZXT 510i elite case comes with two 140mm RGB fans preinstalled in the front, which are already daisy chained together and hooked up to the RGB controller. Because of this, you only need to hook up the other fans (back and top) to either one of the front fans, and make sure you plug in their power cables to your NZXT device controller.

Not too bad for an included radiator fan, although I don't know what the previous NZXT radiator fans were like. I personally wouldn't recommend replacing your fans with this, with the expectation of a performance improvement. But it does look very nice I think. Since my first NZXT Hue+ setup video, NZXT has renewed their RGB line with the Hue 2 LED strips, the AER RGB 2 and instead of the Hue+ controller, they now have a RGB & Fan controller (Much like the Commander Pro). I wanted to try it out and I bought two AER RGB 2 fans, 2 LED strips, and the controller and also the H510 case, which I will be doing a build video with once the new Ryzen Zen 3 CPU is released. So in this video I go through how to install these lights in the NZXT H510 Case, how you can use the first gen Hue+ units on the controller also, and how the CAM software works (Well some of it anyway). Unfortunately some people buy AER2 products without the controller and then connect said AER2 items to their motherboard rgb header. After all, why not? Default thinking for RGB is either it goes to the 12v/4pin rgb header or the 5v/3pin argb header. First we explore how to properly install NZXT AER2 products. As mentioned they all plug into a hub which then plugs into an internal usb header on the mobo. Internal usb header, not rgb header!
