- While I'm starting to run out of arcade games that I can capture directly, we've still got a few to go through, including the exclusive Aliens Armageddon game developed by Play Mechanix. They were also the developers behind Aliens Extermination. AS A COUPLE OF TECHNICAL NOTES: For some reason, the capture only got one channel and at times I seem to stop playing because the game monitor didn't like something with the capture device and it kept going black. But the capture itself was fine, so that's a plus!

Follow me on Twitter @ Get Great Retro Scene News @ Developed and published by Sega in 1993 One of the few lightgun games I've had the opportunity to pay in person, Alien 3: The Gun is really quite remarkable. The pseudo-3D visuals are absolutely amazing for the time, much of which looks pre-rendered or digitised in some way. The game is based somewhat loosely on the events spanning Aliens and Alien 3 movies, with a team of marines escaping a xenomorph-infested Sulaco to the equally infested prison-planet of Fiorina Fury 161. You blast your way through legions of aliens and other horrors, just hoping to make it to the end of the game. Interestingly, there are a couple of branching paths on a couple of levels, which offer some level of replayability. I've played and recorded both paths through the game, one of which is definitely more difficult, thanks to the appearance of super-lethal, blue-skinned androids - the aliens are bad enough, but these guys are quick on the trigger and do tons of damage very quickly. Unfortunately, and this does makes sense, considering it's a coin-op, several of the bosses are designed in such a way that so that they can damage you, even though you can't damage them. As a visual spectacle, the game absolutely achieves what it sets out to do: draw people in, give them 60 seconds of excitement, before getting them to deposit another quarter. Alien 3: The Gun is a rail shooter in which the player uses a large light gun, modeled after machine guns featured in the Alien films, to kill various Alien creatures such as facehuggers and soldiers, unlike the film, which featured only three Aliens (including a face hugger, an alien runner and a queen chestburster). И то правда — зачем стараться, работать, блистать талантом, если проще лепить на конвейере одинаково бездарные поделки — и все равно стать известным издательством? Черный пиар тоже, пиар, верно? Однако, вопреки уже сложившейся традиции, в последнее время у City Interactive начали случаться приступы просветления — например, дилогию Sniper: Ghost Warrior трешем уже никак не назовешь. Watch SM's real 1 Credit Clear run on SEGA's arcade shooter 1993 Alien 3: The Gun. Yes, a 1CC is indeed possible. Alien 3: The Gun is loosely based on the film series, but in this you shoot lots of aliens that just want to jump on you. The cabinet uses big machine-gun controllers, which move a cursor around like similar games from this time. The gameplay area is displayed in a wide screen aspect ratio, however the game is outputted in 4:3. The strength of your shot seems to get weaker at 75%, and every 25% after, so it is best to do a quick release/hold of the trigger before 75%. You pick up bombs, and get 2 more if you continue, these can be used to clear the screen, be used as a panic bomb attack, or can be used to clear scenery to score more points. I use most of mine for the points. Other powerups are a flamethrower shot, this isn't very useful apart from clearing the scenery on the first stage, health items that recover 25% health. Rescuing the prisoners also awards health. Scoring is simple, apart from there being no way to see your score until you clear a stage or run out of health. It seems to be 20k for most enemies, awarded once the enemies are completely taken out, if they survive and go off the screen, they score 0. Scenery awards 10/20k. From calculating the scoring in my runs, I work out that is the maximum realistically possible score on a 1CC run. At the end of every stage, it displays a rank, this seems to be factored on when you stop certain attacks from hitting you. The best strategy is to learn where all the enemies attack from, and have the cursor ready for them, if you take out some face-huggers early, then you don't have to deal with it jumping on you a few seconds after. However most of the bosses are difficult! I made a guide: 1st boss has a difficult attack, when it walks around the front. A way to stop this attack is to only start shooting as it leaps, but it is still hard to stop. The other strategy is to let it attack you and it to jump back, as you can usually do more damage once it has jumped. It does 12% damage on every attack, so you can take 2 hits and still get back to 100% at the start of Stage 2-1. 2-1 boss is the hardest boss. It has destructible parts which flash, and leave very little room for error. The second form fires missiles that give a lot of damage, they award no points. The third form consists of the parts that were not destroyed in the first form, the room for error is similar to the first form, however the boss is moving around a lot and is very hard to clear without getting hit. 2-2 boss is more manageable. You have to use a bomb where I do, or you will take damage, following this part, you then have to make the boss lose health twice or you get hit by the alien's tail, the timing of the bomb before will impact on if you get hit here or not. The safest way is to just bomb again once it has approached you. Also if you bomb twice, you don't risk getting hit at the end, like I do in this run. That attack is guaranteed too, unless if you beat the boss before it. I don't use two bombs so then I can use them for scoring. You can recover any damage back on Stage 3. 3 boss isn't much of a challenge, it fires a projectile, and then two more. However after this, you have to damage the boss 3 times before it attacks, so it is best to take down the second set of projectiles and then aim for the boss. Though with doing this you run the risk of getting hit by the projectiles, which I do in this run. It is safe to take damage here as you will recover at least 100% health in Stage 4. 4 boss is simple, just keep your cursor on the boss and release/pull the trigger every couple of seconds. There is no way at all to stop taking 20% damage at the end of the first form. Don't bother trying to bomb it. 5 boss strategy is similar to the Stage 4 boss, but you have much less room for error, failing to shoot the boss for a quarter of a second and you will take damage. I feel this boss is a bit too difficult, but at least you get a lot of bombs before it, but it is best to save some for the Stage 6 boss. 6 boss is just stupid, if he rolls all the way to the left side of the screen after the first attack, you have to bomb or you will take a lot of damage, this happens in this run. If you have 4-5 bombs, just bomb your way through the boss. However for scoring purposes, using a bomb reduces your score from the boss, of a maximum of 615k if you can resist using bombs. If you bomb all the time, you can get as low as 350k. After this, if he stays on the left side of the screen, you have to bomb again, or you will take the same level of damage. This also applies to if he rolls to the right side and stays on the right side, but this happens far less. Aliens: Armageddon is a light gun shooter arcade game made by Play Mechanix and Raw Thrills. The gameplay is similar to the 2010 Terminator Salvation arcade game, also developed by Play Mechanix, but there is more voice acting in Armageddon and the HUD has changed. PLOT: A Xenomorph plague is unleashed on Earth causing apocalyptic devastation. Mankind’s only hope for survival is to fight their way to a deep space cargo ship and leave the Earth behind. Development: The game was first revealed at Booth 2017 at IAAPA 2013 November 19th, 2013 where the public was allowed to play the game. There was also a press release around a week before IAAPA which revealed the arcade cabinet (see right) and more details about the game: "Only you can save earth from the invading extraterrestrials in Raw Thrills’ latest shooter, Aliens Armageddon! Based on the popular Sci-Fi franchise, become a part of the action to help battle invading extraterrestrials after all of Earth’s major cities get wiped off the map. As descend from the skies, it begins to look as if humanity is doomed. Fortunately, you are there to fight back to try to send the invaders back to the stars. Aliens Armageddon is a fully-licensed Aliens product with four chapters of intense game play. Epic battles with enormous Xenomorphs will have player’s heart and guns pumping. Cutting-edge graphics and sound will make players feel like they are in the middle of all the action. Plus the force feedback guns with clip reload and alternate fire button add a depth of realism to the shooter. In the game, Marines use more contemporary AR-15-styled weapons instead of Pulse Rifles. The use of the latter is likely due to the arcade cabinet the game uses, which features AR-15-styled controllers. ALIENS EXTERMINATION ARCADE GAME - (ARCADE LONGPLAY) ALL MISSIONS (REALTIME PLAYTHROUGH) [FULL GAMEPLAY]. Aliens: Extermination is a 2006 arcade game published by Global VR. The game was released internationally at 2006 and in Indonesia in 2008. PLOT: Years after Alien 3, two Colonial Marine squadrons are sent back to the destroyed Hadley's Hope on LV-426 to exterminate the alien presence. Upon arrival at the colony, the marines encounter not only the aliens, but they also encounter a malfunctioning defense system. They eventually manage to destroy the system's power generators and shut the system down. The marines continue their mission, fighting their way through the aliens, and, eventually, they confront Weyland-Yutani synthetics which were reprogrammed to capture alien specimens and re-purpose them as biological weapons. After fighting their way through aliens and sythetics, the marines encounter a synthetic in an exosuit armed with a buzz saw. After dispatching the synthetic, the marines continue their mission and eventually discover another dragon. Eventually, the marines "slay" the dragon, so to speak, and make their way to the heart of the colony. There, they find a xenomorph queen waiting for them. While the players distract the queen, their squad mates arm an nuclear explosive device to destroy the colony. Eventually, the players defeat the queen and begin to evacuate. As they are riding an elevator up to the surface, the queen, not quite dead yet, pursued them and tries to kill them. The players manage to hold her off and the marines escape, leaving the queen trapped in the explosion. However, several aliens infiltrate the players' dropship, leaving the players' fate unknown.

Subscribe my Channel! : Alien 3 - The Gun (c) 1993 Sega. ‎ PLOT: In an alternate plot of the movie, two Colonial Marines are sent to the USS Sulaco to rescue survivors, only to crash land on Fiorina "Fury" 161 after fighting a Super Facehugger. They discover that "Fury" has been infested by hundreds - possibly even thousands - of Runners. They kill countless xenomorphs, rescuing prisoners until they met the aliens' "Big Boss" (the alien from the movie). The Marines destroy the planet's defense systems, programmed by the Weyland-Yutani corporation. They eventually kill the "Big Boss", where they meet an unknown man. The Marines kill the man, only to be confronted a squad of commandos. The records of the incident on Fury 161 are removed, and the facility there is closed and almost forgotten. The USCM removes two names from the Colonial Marine ranks. The "names" are the player Marines. They are implied to be ., as no one knows if they're dead or alive. read more @ :_The_Gun
