AMAZON USA LINK CLICK HERE AMAZON UK LINK CLICK HERE Elite Screens Spectrum AMAZON REVIEW( A solid screen for my new house's movie room!) A little bit of background on me: I've been a photo/video pro for 10 years, and i've been using projectors nearly twice as long as that for both work and pleasure. I've used a lot of different types of screen and projector combinations of all sizes and price ranges. Suffice it to say, i have some perspective on the subject! I'll start with some more general advice on screen choice, you can skip this if you're already knowledgeable on screens. Choosing a screen Size, color, and mounting are the main considerations. Some like to go big, but i think there's definitely too big in some cases. It depends on your space. I recently moved into a new house, and it was my wife's idea to not use the main living room as the big screen room, but rather one of the side rooms. I have to admit, she was very right, that' room is about a 14 foot square, and it's a perfect size for a 100" screen and seating on the opposite end. Mounting is the other big consideration, fixed, or motorized. Fixed screens can look more sleek and professional. However, i have other plans in mind: my wife and i want to get a big map of the world, and have it on the wall behind where the screen is, so that when the screen is not in use, we have a huge mural. You might think it would be pain to have to raise and lower the screen every single time, but this comes with a 12v trigger option, so when you turn on the projector, it cue's the screen to lower(if your projector has this feature) Color is something not always thought about, this is a white screen, and it reflects a good image, but the main disadvantage is that the blacks aren't nearly as black as some of today's traditional TV sets. An option to help with this is to get a grey screen. The trade-off there is that those typically cost more, and since they are darker, they are best used with brighter projectors. This 100" Elite screen The box is obviously long, and a decent bit heavy. I did install it myself, but i don't recommend it, a helper is a much better idea. It comes with: The screen, mounting hardware, bubble level, remote, wired switch, 12v trigger lead, batteries, instructions. The instructions aren't that great, but i'm handy, and i have lots of tools. Mounting There are several hole options for mounting to a wall or ceiling. If mounting to the wall the holes are snowman style(like an '8" with the middle open) so you can just screw the screws in and leave them out an eighth inch, then hook on the screen to them. The annoyance with wall mounting is getting the level just right, if you're off even just a little bit, it's not easy to correct it. With ceiling mounting though, getting it level is easy as pie, or cake, or any dessert of your choosing. The instructions seem tom suggest using chain, but i just used screws. Once you have it up, use the level, it's magnetic so you can just pop it onto the housing or the bottom of the screen. If one side is too high or low, just unscrew one of the screws a bit till it's right(be sure the screws are still enough into the ceiling to support it. Chain works too, but i wanted it to be as close to the ceiling as possible. Ups and downs The speed of the motor is very slow, so that's a little annoying, and the motor is a little noisy. Waves This level of screen typically is susceptible to not having a perfectly flat surface. Some higher end screens, have tension wires on the sides to stretch it out. This screen does have a moderate amount of wavy-ness to it, however it's typically only noticeable if you look at it from an extreme angle while the projector is off. I have not noticed the waves while watching any material. Another possible issue with waves is the focus being a little fuzzy in the peaks or valleys, but again i have not noticed this in practice.

Bought Jan 2019 in Canada from Amazon for $416 CAD. Took 2 people 2 hrs to assemble and then we discovered the screen material is deffective or simply designed poorly. As mentioned by some other reviewers on amazon, the "edges are wavy." But without pictures, I had no idea what that meant until I finished construction myself. The frame itself if fine. However, the material for the screen along the horizontal edges are both cut too short and cut unevenly. Is this a defect or a design flaw?? I will see what Elite Screens does about this issue and keep you posted.
