In this video I give my thoughts and first impressions on the Fuji X-E4 after one week of use. This is not a review. I haven't even had the chance to properly edit and adjust the photos since they are not yet supported in Lightroom. And for that reason I wont comment all that much on the the new 27mm f2.8. After the Adobe update I will revisit the files and give my opinion on the lens. I borrowed the camera and lens from the Swedish store Kameradoktorn. Yes, I finally have a copy of the new Fujifilm X-E4!! So far so good. It's definitely compact and lightweight, but less ergonomic and functional from the previous X-E3. It's still a really cool camera though. In this video I go over the main differences, but also share with you how I would set-up the X-E4's custom functions similar to the set-up on the X-E3, even with less buttons and dials. I’ve been using the X-E4 for a couple of weeks shooting around my local streets and here's a look at how I feel about Fuji's latest camera. This isn’t an in-depth review of all the camera's details and features or a technical break down of image quality or a comparison with other cameras. Instead, it’s an overview of how the X-E4 feels to shoot with and what it brings as an update to the X-E3 or alternative to the X-Pro 3 UPDATE: The X-E4 does actually shoot F-Log in video. The model I received was a pre-production version lent to me by Fuji for review and F Log wasn't in the camera's menus. However, after some queried it, I dug through the manual and indeed, it will shoot F-Log. Apologies for the error. I am Enche Tjin, I am photographer & educator based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Today, I want to share my experience with Fujifilm XE-4, This compact camera has 26MP APS-C X-Trans sensor. My small bag is enough to fit in the camera, along with two extra lenses, including the new Fuji XF 70-300mm. Fujifilm Indonesia is kind enough to lend me this camera before global launching. However, the camera I use is a pre-production model and I can't process the RAW file just yet. So the images shown in this video are in JPG format, straight out of the camera with minor adjustments in Lightroom The camera is very compact for mirrorless camera. It has a rangefinder style, with flat top without any grip. A metal grip will be sold separately. The design is minimalistic. To navigate the menu it has joystick/multi selector and a touchscreen monitor. It has only one dial on the front of the camera, and no autofocus mode switch. On the shutter dial, XE-4 has the new P (Program) mode, in which camera will assign aperture and shutter automatically, great for casual shooter or beginners. I enjoy tilt LCD screen that can tilt upward or downward for low or high angle shooting. We can turn the LCD to the front for selfie/vlogging as well. Due to limited space, Fuji X-E4 has a small viewfinder, but it is helpful for bright outdoor shooting and for stability. Fujifilm XE-4 has 18 film simulations, including Eterna bleach bypass and Classic Negative. Although this camera is smaller and cheaper than X-S10 & X-T4, this Fuji XE-4 has the same sensor, thus produce the same image quality. X-E-4 has no image stabilization built-in, so I need to shoot at higher shutter and ISO when I paired it with a non OIS lens like this new Fuji 27mm. Fujifilm 27mm f/2.8 lens has a brand new look with an aperture ring and weather resistant. This lens is just a about 1 mm longer than the original 27mm. Image quality and Autofocus performance is about the same, and the design match Fuji X-E4 very well. The new high quality Fujifilm XF 70-300mm is a nice addition to the Fujifilm lens lineup. It is quite compact and light for its reach. It is weather resistant and can focus quite close at 83cm for the entire zoom range. Like other Fuji XF lenses, it has an aperture ring as well. Optical image stabilization is very helpful for this kind of lens. I can easily get four to five stops when I shoot in 200-300mm range. Image quality is generally very good from 70-200mm, from 200 to 300mm, I notice some image softening and lack of fine detail. Overall it is a pretty good this brief experience, I think Fuji XE-4 is very well suited for travel and street photography. Photographers who like the flexibility of interchangeable lens system in a lightweight and affordable package will love it.

Taking a look at the all new Fuji X-E4. This small compact camera was enjoyable to shoot with walking around downtown. I would recommend getting the thumb rest as well as the grip for a better shooting experience. The camera unfortunately did not have IBIS but this was not a huge deal for me for taking stills. For video I did wish I had IBIS because even walking back slowly I saw the little shakes I had in the video. You can record 420 8 bit internally with the option to output 422 10 bit with an external recorder. Although I am happy this is a feature Fuji thought about, I do not see your typical X-E4 user using it. The price point is fair at $ USD but for a couple hundred more you can purchase the X-S10 that offers everything this camera has AND IBIS.
