This video is about the 23mm F2 by Fujifilm. It's full frame equivalent is 35mm, which was my favorite lens when I was using Canon full frame. This 23mm is great for just about everything. I will be getting the 23mm f1.4 at some point because the focal length is great and the 1.4 aperture allows so much more blurry bokehlicious bokeh (blurry backgrounds) for portraits. Other than the bokeh difference, this 23mm F2 is crazy sharp and crazy awesome!! Great for street, landscapes and architecture; Great for video as well and on a gimbal. Don't take my word for it. I took my new favorite lens (the Fujifilm 23mm f2) to the boatyard to test it out in full sun. I'm still learning the Fujifilm system, so having a mini-project like this really helps me get to know the camera and the lens. Plus, I find boat yards to be a great location for practicing composition and creative photography. Got my hands on a pre-release version of the brand new Fuji 23mm f/2 lens. This amazing little lens features a 35mm (equivalent) field of view in a well built weather sealed body. Manual aperture rings and smooth focus make this lens a must have for any street photographer shooting with Fuji X Series cameras. Too early for any image samples but I'm doing my best to get a review sample for the site asap. As it stands... I'm seriously impressed with this little lens. No doubt it's going to cement Fuji's place as the defacto camera brand for tons of street photographers. More info on StreetShootr at:

This was the first Fujifilm lens I bought a few years ago. Since then I tried e few more and the one that ended up in my camera all the time was the 35mm f2 (53mm field of view). That's when I realized that I'm definitely a 50mm. But I have a special bond with this 23mm because it was where all started for me. Let's get back to basics! Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2 R WR 4K Video Test (Shot it on XH1 in Tokyo) Japan has always been my favorited place to shoot my Youtube videos. Especially Tokyo. Once you have switched on your camera, you wouldn’t wanna turn it off. There are so many interesting things to shoot on the street. And this time I am reviewing the Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2 R WR lens. To make the video look even better. I have brought my Edelkrone SliderOne Pro for some slider shots. I gotta say, this 23mm (35mm) is a very nice lens. Very compact and light weight. And Super sharp image quality too. And 35mm focal length is great for street video. The only down side I would say is the focus ring. As usual, this Fuji lens is focus by wire. At first glance, the 23mm f/1.4 looks like an enormous beast of a lens compared to what was (at the time of it’s release) the smaller 18mm f/2 and 35mm f/1.4 lenses. The main reason for the bulk of this lens, aside from it’s fast 1.4 aperture, was the manual focus clutch mechanism. Pulling back on this lens revealed a manual focus design with hard stops and a depth of field scale. This feature is only shared with it’s 14mm f/2.8 and 16mm f/1.4 prime brothers. I take a look at this and other features of the 23mm f/1.4 in this video. NOTE: The Fuji 23mm f/2 has been out for a few months now, but it took me a while to get this video uploaded! Had the chance to visit different parts of the Pacific Northwest across Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Contents 00:00 Oregon Coast 01:28 Roslyn, WA 02:01 Twin Peaks Locations 02:32 The Palouse 03:09 Seattle Metropolitan Area 03:41 Saltwater State Park 04:04 Olympia, WA 04:45 Tillamook Air Museum All photos were taken on the Fujinon XF 23mm f/2 WR R prime lens with the Fujifilm X-T4. Capture One 21 software was used to process the develop the RAW files, apply Fuji film simulations or recipes and crop images where necessary. #pacificnorthwest #fujifilm #oregoncoast The first section of the video contains photos of the Oregon Coast taken in Oceanside, Netarts Bay and Cape Meares (including its lovely lighthouse). Photos of Roslyn make up the second part of the video. This is an old mining town in Washington that has maintained much of its original character. The third section centers around two locations that were used in David Lynch's Twin Peaks TV show. The first one is Twede's Cafe in North Bend, better known as the Double R Diner in Twin Peaks. I am happy to report that I was able to order a slice of cherry pie and damn fine cup of coffee there - Agent Dale Cooper was not wrong. There's also a couple of shots around North Bend to add some context. The more time you spend in the Pacific Northwest the more naturalistic Twin Peaks seems. No matter how fantastically Lynchian Twin Peaks may be, it imparts a strong sense of terroir that is only heightened by visiting some of its locales. The third section ends with a shot of the majestic Snoqualmie Falls with the Salish Lodge (renamed Great Northern Hotel in Twin Peaks) off to the side. The Palouse is Windows 95 country through and through because that's where the infamous default desktop background was shot. The Palouse is a unique landscape that spans most of Eastern Washington and parts of Idaho. This section is followed by some sundry shots around the Seattle Metropolitan Area before jumping into the photographs I took around Saltwater State Park and Olympia, notably its evocative harbor. Finally, I added some photos of my visit to the Tillamook Air Museum for any aviation buffs out there. Background music by Alpicat (used with permission).
