Cегодня я расскажу про новый объектив от японской компании Tokina. Opera 16-28 F2.8 — это сверхширокоугольный зум предназначенный для полнокадровых зеркальных камер Canon и Nikon. Объектив получился крайне интересным, помимо сверхширокого угла обзора, он может похвастаться постоянной диафрагмой F2.8, которая доступна на всем диапазоне фокусных расстояний, а также защитой от пыли и влаги. Вообще, данную модель можно считать обновлением довольно удачного сверхширика Tokina AT-X 16-28 PRO FX, вышедшего в далеком 2010 году. One-Touch Focus Clutch Tokina’s exclusive One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism allows the photographer to switch between AF and MF simply by snapping the focus ring forward for AF and back toward the camera to focus manually. There is no need to change the AF/MF switch on Nikon camera bodies* and there is no second AF/MF switch on the lens for Canon, everything is accomplished by the focus ring.

Tokina AT-X 16-28mm f/2.8 Pro FX Lens 4K Video Test This is the Tokina AT-X 16-28mm f/2.8 Pro FX Lens 4K Video Test. This lens is made for full frame DSLR cameras. And I did the video test with my Sony A7SII with the Metabones EF to E mount Smart Adapter Mark IV. I never actually used a Tokina lens before. And this Pro Series 16-28mm surprised me. The 4K image looked very sharp even at the corners. I reckon its performs even better than my Canon EF 16-35mm f/ II USM (There is a new Mark III coming out from Canon by the way). High quality lens always has a drawback. And there is no exception for this 16-28mm lens too. This lens is quite heavy, its about 950g. (Canon one only 635g) Its a bit front heavy when using on Sony A7SII. I recommend using this lens for DSLR better. Also there is another problem when it comes to video. This lens doesn’t take filters. So I shot the whole video around sunset time to make sure I got the 1/50 shutter speed!! I mean if you are a photographer. You might not need to worry about that. But for video shooters, you might have to come up a plan such as getting a Matt box or something. But over all, it is a great lens. Very sharp indeed. Uwielbiam obraz, jaki daje obiektyw szerokokątny. Kiedyś, gdy miałem aparaty z matrycą APS-C miałem do nich świetnego i leciutkiego Canona EF-S 10-18 mm (test: ) . Z wyborem obiektywu do pełnej klatki już tak lekko nie jest. Pierwsze moje szkło – Samyang 14 mm f/2.8 (test: ) – miał manualne nastawianie ostrości i muszę przyznać, że mnie to pokonało. Przez wizjer po prostu nie widać (ok., ja nie widzę) szczegółów, żeby dobrze ostrzyć. Do wyboru zostały mi Canon L 16-35 mm (bardzo drogi), Canon L 17-40 mm (dość tani ale ciemny) coś też od Tamrona i Sigmy – ale każdy z ceną na rynku wtórnym zdrowo powyżej 3000 PLN. Tyle nie chciałem wydać. Wtedy właśnie trafiłem na testy obiektywu #Tokina AT-X 16-28 mm PRO f/2.8 FX i jak popatrzyłem na ceny na OLX to wpadłem na pomysł, że to może być opcja dla mnie. Zapraszam zatem do obejrzenia filmu, gdzie pokazuję plusy i minusy tego szkła.

In a nutshell; BUILD QUALITY: Really, really solid, made out of metal, it's weighty and really well put together. Build quality is the one area that Tokina rarely skimps on, and the 16-28 is no exception, for build we gave the 16-28 a 9.5/10 FOCUS SPEED AND ACCURACY: It's not fast, but for most wide angle shooters, it doesn't need to be, I wouldn't call it slow either. For most wide angle shooters, focus accuracy isn't a huge consideration as they're USUALLY shooting with the aperture stopped down to f/8 or f/9 and the depth of field is so wide that everything is in focus anyway. As a side note, I have shot a few portraits with this lens at f/2.8 and I find the focus accuracy perfect and the images are incredibly sharp. It's a really solid effort, the focus motor could be a little faster, but that's about it - we gave the focus speed and accuracy an 8.5/10 OPTICAL QUALITY AND QUALITY OF THE RESULTS: I get great images from the Tokina, I've seen sample images from the 16-35 and I can't see a discernible difference between them, certainly not enough to justify slightly more than double the price. Again, on the downside, the Tokina does exhibit an excessive amount of CA's in high contrast situations. For both optical quality and quality of the results we gave it a 9 for both. VALUE: As I mentioned previously, it's an excellent value, especially when you consider the price of the competition - chromatic aberration aside, the lens has great optics, adequate and accurate focus, and great build.... The Tokina is easily a 10/10 OVERALL: The Tokina gets a 46/50 and easily earns the Highly Recommend rating! THE FINAL WORD: If you can get passed the rather noticeable chromatic aberrations, then there's a lot to rave about the 16-28 f/2.8 from Tokina. The lens stands well enough on its own, but when you factor in the lens's price point, then the Tokina is a no brainer. Tokina 16-28mm lens: Sigma MC-11 adapter: Sony A7III: Here are some of my experiences using the Tokina 16-28 f/2.8 lens on my Sony A7III camera. The lens is Canon mount, so I've mounted it on my camera using the Sigma MC-11 adapter. In general, I'm very happy with the lens/adapter combo. It focuses reasonably fast and accurately. The corners aren't as bad as I thought they would be. It's a heavy lens, but not heavy on the wallet compared to the native Sony wide angle zooms.

This is our first review of the Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8 lens for Canon. We are using the lens in architecture photography in this review. (Budget Equipment) (For Extra Help) (GooglePlus) A hands on review of Tokina AT-X 16-28mm f/2.8 Pro FX Lens for Nikon and Canon DSLRs. It's one of the sharpest lenses I own. It's probably faster than my prime lenses. The built is solid and optics are tack sharp even at big apertures like f/4. It's a great wide angle lens for crop sensor DX body like D5100 or D3200 and ultra wide angle for full frame FX sensor like D700 D800 You can use this for landscape (if you're not a hardcore landscape photographer) cityscape or wide angle night photography. In future I will use my friend's Nikon 14-24 f/2.8 and do a comparison to see how Tokina stacks up against the Nikon one.

In my opinion, Tokina AT-X pro 16-28mm f/2.8 lens has a good optical performance and a good price-performance ratio. However, I am not satisfied with the weight of about 1 kg, the front hood shape that makes it difficult to use filters, Tokina's unique toggle-type focus automatic/manual switching method, and the AF noise. Although it was upgraded to the Opera version a few years ago, it seems that there is no significant difference except for some changes in the appearance (the shape of the rubber grip on the control unit). The lens is designed for DSLR FF cameras, and its usability and competitiveness are not as good as they used to be, as more and more lenses that are customized for digital mirrorless cameras with a shorter flange back distance have appeared. I tried to modify/upgrade the lens for video shooting, (including the noise of the autofocus, the short rotation radius of the manual focus operation, and the hood shape that is not suitable for using ND filters) In the previous , I completely redesigned the overall design and the fixing method of the housing by improving the parts that were lacking. I prefer the non-destructive method of attaching it to the outside while keeping the original housing and parts of the lens. However, the front hood had to be disassembled and removed. Due to the protruding spherical glass in the front, the outer diameter had to be designed to 114mm to prevent vignetting at the ultra-wide angle (16mm) while maintaining the front housing shape to protect it. It is a lens with many restrictions for housing upgrades. I recommend a matte box and a square filter with a size of for mounting filters (that does not cause vignetting at a focal length of 16mm) The lens in the video is a Nikon F mount (D type) lens, and the EF mount lens is also of almost the same design except for the mount part and the lower part of the lens, so I think it can be installed. Just wanted to share a chill photoshoot using Pro Budget (cheap compared to RF line) lenses by Tokina. Tokina is a third party lens manufacturer that created two beautiful lenses for the Canon EF system, the Tokina 16-28mm F2.8 and the Tokina 50mm F1.4. When you compare the cost to a canon rf equivalent, it is $2000 vs $6000. How can you even compare. Even though it cost less, I still think the images coming out of it are amazing. I am not a pixel peeper, I do not check sharpness, or tech details. I like checking rendering, micro-contrast and the mood that the photo brings you. Anyway, hope you enjoy the video, and don't be afraid to use these lenses, because I like them a lot! Hello, Today I am going to be unboxing the Tokina 16-28mm Ultra-Wide Angle lens that come in either a Nikon or Canon mount. This lens offers a 107º Degree field of view that goes all the way to 76º Degree's at 28mm, mind you this is on a Full-Frame camera. A cropped sensor APS-C or APS-H camera will offer a different degree of view. With a maximum aperture of f/2.8 this lens allows you to shoot in very low light conditions keeping your shutter speed high or ISO low. This results in clearer, sharper images from any camera. Consisted of 15 Elements in 13 groups, edge-to-edge sharpness is very well controlled as well as vignetting wide open and excellent CA handling. Optically what you are getting is a Nikkor 14-24mm f2.8 for half the price. What a deal! This lens is every bit as sharp as the Nikkor counter-part and even SHARPER in some instances. Feel free to look up these claims on DxOMark. Unlike the Nikkor 16-35mm f/4 with it's VR (Vibration Reduction) this lens allows a full stop or more or light into the lens because it is an f/2.8. This can come into handy when that extra little bit of light is needed, especially when shooting video which only allows a 1/25 Shutter Speed or higher. The Tokina is built like a tank, weighing in at or 950g, this lens is no light-weight. It's meant to be a serious wide-angle lens and you can be assured it is exactly that. One draw-back of this lens is the exposed front-element and also most-importantly the inability to except filters of ANY KIND. This can be a serious no-go for some, but personally I have not yet ventured into the land of filters and especially now, I don't plan to for a while. If you would like to see just how tack sharp this lens is, please, take the time and look up the countless reviews online showing you the awesome performance of this lens. It is really a solid contender, especially if you take into consideration the price. Currently as of March 22, 2012 B&H Photo has a $ Rebate that will be into affect until March 31st, 2012 so act quick! Important note: This lens WILL focus on camera such as the Nikon D3100,D5100,D5000,D60,D3000 and so. This is a huge plus! Thanks for taking the time to watch my unboxing. I think "Tokina AT-X Pro 16-28mm f/2.8" is a wide-angle zoom lens with excellent optical performance and a great value for money. It is a lens for still cameras, but with almost the same specifications and optical design, there are "Vistar 16-28mm T3 & T2.9" lenses, so I expected it to go well with a wide-angle zoom lens for video shooting. So, I briefly tested focus breathing and parfocal zoom. This is only for observing subtle changes due to focusing, and was taken with a Sony digital mirrorless camera (A7R2, Picture profile_CINE4+Ninja V-Prores HQ), and no color correction process was performed at all. it is not suitable as a data for evaluating other performance of the lens. Tokina Opera 16-28mm F2.8 FF Review Today Tokina released their updated version the 16-28mm Lens.
