In addition, I am not sure if explaining about installation on PC will be relevant to people with MAC, if explaining about the app from Google Play store will be relevant for people who download from App Store, and the most important thing is that I am still learning about this device so I don’t want to say something that will be misleading. The brand: HP The model: OfficeJet Pro 6960 All-in-One Printer *** Please note models may vary, depending on the area you live in. The pros: - It is very easy to set up the printer and connect to the Wi-Fi network. - It is very easy to operate the 6960 thanks to the touch screen control panel. - The 6960 offers all the familiar features that the average user would need for home or small business usage (I will be able to expend my explanation about it as time goes by because I am still learning about it…). - The device is in the right size, looks great, and seems to be an improved model of the already familiar and successful HP devices for the home/small business user. - I really love the tutorial videos on the touch screen control panel (if needed of course…). - The device is considered very economical, thanks to the ink costs, which are supposed to be very low. - HP’s 3 years warranty is always a great thing to have. The cons: - It does not include a USB socket, which in my opinion is still quite relevant (let’s say if you are a student). - The absolute price of the cartridge. - No USB cable (for those who need it...). - After I reviewed the HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 & the HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 It just looks too simple. **** FAQ : **** Q: How can I reduce/enlarge the size of the document when I scan/copy? A: There are several ways to resize a document: 1. Using the software that is relevant for this device. 2. From the device itself by doing the following: - Touch Copy / Scan - Choose Settings - Scroll down to Resize option and use enlarge or reduce (in %) - Touch return - Touch Black or Color to copy. Pro snadné využívání všech funkcí a zobrazování informací je na předním panelu černobílý grafický displej. Pro komfort i náročné úlohy Pro připojení tiskárny je určeno standardní počítačové rozhraní USB 2.0 a WiFi. Se službou HP ePrint lze tisknout prakticky odkudkoliv. TECH TIP: How an Inkjet Printhead Works -- 4, 5 & 6 Ink Cartridge Printers: TECH TIP 2: Hot Water Printhead Flush - HP Series: --- For HP 902 or HP 902XL ink cartridge errors such as “Ink Cartridge Problem”, "Missing or damaged", "The following cartridges are not intended for use in this Printer" then the printer is not recognizing the cartridge's ‘smart chip’ which is affixed to the rear side of cartridge or the ink cartridge’s plastic tab is not properly locking the cartridge into the printer’s PRINTHEAD assembly. It is suggested to remove all ink cartridges from the printer and slowly re-install each cartridge, ensuring each 'clicks' into place properly. You may need to gently pull out on the ink cartridge’s plastic latching tab so it extends away from the cartridge body. Reinstall cartridge into printer to see if the issue has been resolved. In 99% of the cases you'll either need to let the refilled ink cartridges 'fully absorb' the new ink for approx. 36 hours first (since they may have been 'dry' when you brought them in for refilling), or you'll need to perform a 'Clean Printhead' procedure from your printer's menu 2-3 times to reprime all of the ink lines. To clear trapped air bubbles that may have formed between the cartridge and printhead, at the 'TOOLS' menu, select 'Clean Printhead' (or similar depending on printer model). To verify proper color output, activate the 'Print Quality Report'. Select 'Tools' - 'Print Quality Report', or similar. Verify all colors have recovered and no visible streaking or fade is present in print report. If streaking or missing colors persist, then activate the 'Clean Printhead' routine 2 more times. If, after activating the 'Clean Printhead' routine 2 times in a row, along with manufacturer's suggested printer cleaning procedures, blank pages continue to be observed or output print quality is extremely poor (for example, there are several missing colors in the Print Quality Diagnostic Report or Self Test Page where otherwise all colors should normally be present with no visible streaking), then the printhead may have partially dried out and a hot water flush may be necessary to help recover the ink system. If problems persist then refer to HP printer diagnostics:

TECH TIP: HP OfficeJet 6950 Printhead Problem | Failed Printhead: --- For the HP OfficeJet 6950 printer (#HP6950) which is suffering from a HP 903, 903XL ink cartridge error such as “ #cartridge problem ”, " #missing, " " #damaged ", " #Incompatible ", “ #Not #Intended ”, "Failure" “Ink #Cartridges Problem” or “ #Remove and #Reinstall the indicated cartridge” then the #HP #OfficeJet 6950 #printer #fails to #detect the HP 903 or #HP903XL #inkjet cartridge’s electronic #smart #chip which is affixed to the rear side of #cartridge or the ink cartridge’s #plastic #tab is not properly #locking the cartridge into the printer’s #PRINTHEAD assembly. To confirm cartridge to printer #connectivity you will want to first confirm that the cartridge is fully locking into position and cartridge’s plastic tab is properly aligned and providing adequate tension. Remove the suspect ink cartridge from the printer and gently pull out on rear restraining latch to ensure it is extending away from cartridge body. Be careful not to bend the tab out more than cm or approximately half of an inch (0.5” in.) as pulling on the plastic tab too hard could cause the tab to break off - so please be gentle with it. You should also inspect cartridge’s smart chip for ink residue or scratches – thoroughly clean surface with a damp cloth or towel. Reinstall ink cartridge, or cartridges, into printer and confirm cartridge is fully locking into position…a gentle click should be felt when the cartridge is installed. For printers that display #error #messages such as “ #incompatible cartridge”, “ remove and re-install cartridges” or “The following cartridges are #not #intended for #use in this Printer” then it is possible that a newer version of HP printer #firmware may have been installed onto your printer and the cartridge chip or chips are now #locked #out. A new chip will need to be installed on the respective cartridge; new chip versions may be obtained via , etc. For advanced printer troubleshooting and recovery tips please refer to my other support videos.
