I'm currently paying almost $60 after taxes for each copper line through AT&T, so converting to a SIP setup should be saving me a couple hundred dollars a month. As a hotel, I have to ensure our fire lines and emergency lines are compliant, which I don't think my SIP setup has. More research needed for that side. It's Mary Cheney, Marketing Manager here at VoIP Supply, and today we're going to be unboxing Grandstream's GXV3480 IP Video Phone for Android. Okay, so let's unbox it. Here is the phone. Here's the handset. I will say, taking this handset out, it is nice and sturdy. This is really nice, it's to clean the screen. It's a little nice, added bonus. Here's the power supply, that's in the box. We've got our cable and our handset cord. Okay, and that is everything inside the box, so let's power it on. Okay, so we're going to start putting this together. One really cool feature, that I wanted to show you was the stand, it comes out and it's super flexible. So, you can kind of set it and adjust it, to what you like. So, we'll let this power on, and then we'll talk about some of the awesome features. The GXV3480 IP Video Phone for Android, combines a 16-line IP video phone, with a multi-platform video conferencing solution and the functionality of an Android tablet, to offer an all-in-one communications solution. The phone features an 8-inch touch screen, 2 Megapixel camera, dual microphone, dual Gigabit ports with PoE and PoE+, HD audio and HD video, and it's integrated with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. It also runs on Android 11 and offers instant access to hundreds of thousands of Android apps. By combining a state-of-the-art IP video phone, an advanced video conferencing solution, and the functionality of an Android tablet, the GXV3480 offers businesses, throughout the world, a powerful desktop communication and productivity solution. All right, so let's explore this phone a little bit. There is a wall mount available for this model, but it is sold separately. One of the neat features, right off the bat, is this camera here, so you can adjust this, at different angles, but it also gives you the ability, to turn it completely off. Okay, so up here we've got our message indicator light. You can do your video call or audio call. You can add accounts straight from here and back to our home screen. You can add key accounts here. Here are some of our apps. We can go into some of the settings here. You have your account status and your WiFi hotspot. This is where you can get into all the details. If you don't like the brightness, you can play around with that, here. You've got your date and time. You can invite them to join a video call, right from that screen there. Here's where you can see your call history, conference calls, incoming, outcoming, and missed calls. And again, this is just like your Android-based phone. So, you can go in here and you can download apps. You can do presentations right from the phone. You've got your calculator and programmable keys. If you need to quickly get to the WiFi or Bluetooth or do not disturb, if you want to mute the phone, you can do it all by just swiping down here. Here, you can set up a couple different wallpapers. It's kind of neat. There are a couple pre-programmed ones, so let's just stop that. But if you have your own pictures, that you want to add, you can do that too. So, you can see it's a really nice, vibrant display. And there you have it. Okay, so that concludes our unboxing of Grandstream's GXV3480. I had a lot of fun playing around with this phone. It's super intuitive. The display is very bright, as you can see. The camera was easy to play around with. I would highly recommend, trying out this phone. I do give this phone two thumbs up. It gives you everything that you need, for working from home or a hybrid environment, from video conferencing, the Bluetooth to WiFi, you've got a hotspot on this. Mary Cheney: Hey everybody, it's Mary Cheney, marketing manager here at VoIP Supply, and we're back with December's VoIP News Update. So in the last couple of weeks, our partners at Grandstream have made some exciting announcements about some new product launches. So let's get to those. First, we're going to talk about the GWN7800 Series of network switches. This isn't only an exciting new release by Grandstream, but it's also very exciting because it's an entirely new portfolio of products for them. This new series of switches will complement many of the new access points from Grandstream Let's talk about the key features of the new GWN7800 series. The GWN7800 series are Layer 2+ managed network switches that allow small to medium enterprises to build scalable, secure, high-performance, and smart business networks that are fully manageable. It supports advanced VLAN for flexible and sophisticated traffic segmentation. Advanced QoS for prioritization of network traffic, IGMP snooping for network performance optimization, and comprehensive security capabilities against potential attacks. The PoE models provide smart dynamic PoE output for power IP phones, IP cameras, Wi-Fi access points, and other PoE endpoints. Okay, so let's talk about the different models within this series. We'll start with the GWN7801(P), which has 8-gigabit ethernet ports. The next model is the GWN7802(P), which has 16-gigabit ethernet ports. And then the last model is the GWN7803(P), which has 24-gigabit ethernet ports. Some additional features of all of these models are that they have smart power controls to support dynamic PoE, PoE plus power allocations per port, and supports IPv6 and IPv4 deployments. Additional security features include ARP inspection, IP Source Guard, DoS protection, port security, DHCP snooping, and more. They offer comprehensive yet free management options. The local web user interface of every GWN7800 Series device, , Grandstream's cloud network management platform, and GWN Manager, Grandstream's free on-premise software-based network management tool. They have built-in QoS, allowing for the prioritization of network traffic. And they're compatible with all brands and devices. So that's super exciting from Grandstream. The last thing that I wanted to cover is the deployment scenarios of these new switches. Up next, we're going to talk about Grandstream's GAC2570 Enterprise Conference Phone. Grandstream is extremely proud of this device, it's a new design and it's also Zoom certified. So let's talk about some of the key features of their new enterprise conference phone. So let's talk about some additional key features. The GAC2570 has a full duplex speakerphone with HD acoustic chamber, advanced acoustic echo cancellation, and microphone boom forming array. It supports up to a five-meter pickup range and can be paired with two GMD1208 desktop wireless microphones to get you up to 20 meters away for full room coverage. It has integrated Bluetooth 5.0 support, and integrated Wi-Fi 6, and again, it is Zoom Room certified. So as you can see, Grandstream has certainly been busy coming out with all of these great new products. How To Reset Grandstream 4004 Using LAN Port 1. Directly connect a computer to the LAN port. 2. In Windows, open a ‘Command Prompt’ window 3. Type in “ipconfig /release”, the IP address etc. becomes 0. 4. Type in “ipconfig /renew”, the computer gets an IP address in segment by default 5.
