His wife was a top model and her photogenic pictures still wander all over the walls inside the house. Together they had a son and daughter and genetics did its job. At puberty, following in her mother's footsteps, their daughter also became a fashion model. Five years ago, the French couple left their home for a more delicate home in the capital of Paris. Ever since that day they have not cared about it, leaving all their precious possessions to decompose under the dust and cobwebs. Over the years, nature has crept in and the building has already undergone significant natural decay. The future of the building nevertheless looks bright. Building wrecks come in all shapes and sizes, but when a palace falls apart, it tends to attract a greater level of fascination. Today we give you a sense of the past, in the present, as we take you to Spain to a grand abandoned palace. This exalted place dates back to the 1800s and was owned by Mr. Molina. He was the oldest of 10 siblings who had just returned to his village after a long period of emigration in the Philippines. He had married a Filipina there and returned as a widower with two daughters. He, along with three of his other brothers had a textile factory and banking businesses in the Philippines with which they accumulated a great fortune. Back in his hometown, he settled permanently and lived on the income of his business in the Phillippines that continued there in the hands of his brothers. He lived in the palace until the beginning of the 20th century, when he passed away, and the property was inherited by one of his daughters, Manuela. After her death, a Spanish master architect went back to reform the palace again. This time it was divided into two houses, one for each of his two daughters. What then happened to the building and why it was abandoned, we can not figure out during our research. We assume it's a combination of high inheritance taxes and prohibitive maintenance and renovation costs for the upkeep of this dignified building. Today we will try to decipher the stories within its forgotten walls, as we venture our way inside and discover what's left behind. The story goes that a Roman winemaker had built this castle in the 17th century on the territory of the commune, then entirely covered with vines. Practicing the wine trade, he brought his barrels down to the local port from where the boats departed, and so forth, generated a great fortune with his wine business. Decades passed, and the property was handed down from generation and generation within this eventual prestigious French family, with the name "Rousseau". In 2004, the last resident of this bewitching property passed away, after reaching a grateful age of more than 90 years old. It was subsequently, too prohibitive for the younger generation to maintain the property, and thus, it inevitably ended up in a state of neglect. This house, now completely filled with clutter and collectibles of its past occupants, once used to be called home by Mr. Omer. After living a full life, this gentleman reached a precious age of 93 years old, and left his home behind. Today the house is still filled with boxes, which are filled with belongings of his brother, which Mr. Omer lost shortly before his own death, and it was decided to temporarily store his belongings here. While there still seems to be relatives of the man, apparently it has not yet been decided what will be done with the property, and thus, the house is quietly waiting for a new future. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is the police department of the city of Los Angeles, California. The LAPD has been copiously fictionalized in numerous movies, novels and television shows throughout its history. The department has also been associated with a number of controversies, mainly concerned with racial animosity, police brutality and police corruption. The radio show Calling All Cars hired LAPD radio dispacher Jesse Rosenquist to be the voice of the dispatcher. Rosenquist was already famous because home radios could tune into early police radio frequencies. As the first police radio dispatcher presented to the public ear, his was the voice that actors went to when called upon for a radio dispatcher role. The iconic television series Dragnet, with LAPD Detective Joe Friday as the primary character, was the first major media representation of the department. Real LAPD operations inspired Jack Webb to create the series and close cooperation with department officers let him make it as realistic as possible, including authentic police equipment and sound recording on-site at the police station. Due to Dragnet's popularity, LAPD Chief Parker "became, after J. Edgar Hoover, the most well known and respected law enforcement official in the nation". In the 1960s, when the LAPD under Chief Thomas Reddin expanded its community relations division and began efforts to reach out to the African-American community, Dragnet followed suit with more emphasis on internal affairs and community policing than solving crimes, the show's previous mainstay. Several prominent representations of the LAPD and its officers in television and film include Adam-12, Blue Streak, Blue Thunder, Boomtown, The Closer, Colors, Crash, Columbo, Dark Blue, Die Hard, End of Watch, Heat, Hollywood Homicide, Hunter, Internal Affairs, Jackie Brown, L.A. Wambaugh also created the Emmy-winning TV anthology series Police Story. Wambaugh was also a major influence on James Ellroy, who wrote several novels about the Department set during the 1940s and 1950s, the most famous of which are probably The Black Dahlia, fictionalizing the LAPD's most famous "cold case", and L.A. Confidential, which was made into a film of the same name. Both the novel and the film chronicled mass-murder and corruption inside and outside the force during the Parker era. Critic Roger Ebert indicates that the film's characters (from the 1950s) "represent the choices ahead for the LAPD": assisting Hollywood limelight, aggressive policing with relaxed ethics, and a "straight arrow" approach.

Aiding and abetting the periodically frantic life in the Gildersleeve home was family cook and housekeeper Birdie Lee Coggins (Lillian Randolph). Although in the first season, under writer Levinson, Birdie was often portrayed as saliently less than bright, she slowly developed as the real brains and caretaker of the household under writers John Whedon, Sam Moore and Andy White. In many of the later episodes Gildersleeve has to acknowledge Birdie's commonsense approach to some of his predicaments. By the early 1950s, Birdie was heavily depended on by the rest of the family in fulfilling many of the functions of the household matriarch, whether it be giving sound advice to an adolescent Leroy or tending Marjorie's children. By the late 1940s, Marjorie slowly matures to a young woman of marrying age. During the 9th season (September 1949-June 1950) Marjorie meets and marries (May 10) Walter "Bronco" Thompson (Richard Crenna), star football player at the local college. The event was popular enough that Look devoted five pages in its May 23, 1950 issue to the wedding. After living in the same household for a few years with their twin babies Ronnie and Linda, the newlyweds move next door to keep the expanding Gildersleeve clan close together. Leroy, aged 10--11 during most of the 1940s, is the all-American boy who grudgingly practices his piano lessons, gets bad report cards, fights with his friends and cannot remember to not slam the door. Although he is loyal to his Uncle Mort, he is always the first to deflate his ego with a well-placed "Ha!!!" or "What a character!" Beginning in the Spring of 1949, he finds himself in junior high and is at last allowed to grow up, establishing relationships with the girls in the Bullard home across the street. From an awkward adolescent who hangs his head, kicks the ground and giggles whenever Brenda Knickerbocker comes near, he transforms himself overnight (November 28, 1951) into a more mature young man when Babs Winthrop (both girls played by Barbara Whiting) approaches him about studying together. From then on, he branches out with interests in driving, playing the drums and dreaming of a musical career.

He was like a hermit. Once in a time he came outside of the house, he was always nice and friendly though. In his prime, this man was a farmer and also kept a lot of livestock. But as he got older, he decided to give up and could make a living out of retirement. According to documents inside, we find out that he occasionally went hunting with friends and liked to go fishing. In these last years, the man only used the ground floor of the house and no longer lived on the other floors. Around 2011, after suddenly being taken to the hospital, Mr. Hubertpassed away. Aiding and abetting the periodically frantic life in the Gildersleeve home was family cook and housekeeper Birdie Lee Coggins (Lillian Randolph). Although in the first season, under writer Levinson, Birdie was often portrayed as saliently less than bright, she slowly developed as the real brains and caretaker of the household under writers John Whedon, Sam Moore and Andy White. In many of the later episodes Gildersleeve has to acknowledge Birdie's commonsense approach to some of his predicaments. By the early 1950s, Birdie was heavily depended on by the rest of the family in fulfilling many of the functions of the household matriarch, whether it be giving sound advice to an adolescent Leroy or tending Marjorie's children. By the late 1940s, Marjorie slowly matures to a young woman of marrying age. During the 9th season (September 1949-June 1950) Marjorie meets and marries (May 10) Walter "Bronco" Thompson (Richard Crenna), star football player at the local college. The event was popular enough that Look devoted five pages in its May 23, 1950 issue to the wedding. After living in the same household for a few years with their twin babies Ronnie and Linda, the newlyweds move next door to keep the expanding Gildersleeve clan close together. Leroy, aged 10--11 during most of the 1940s, is the all-American boy who grudgingly practices his piano lessons, gets bad report cards, fights with his friends and cannot remember to not slam the door. Although he is loyal to his Uncle Mort, he is always the first to deflate his ego with a well-placed "Ha!!!" or "What a character!" Beginning in the Spring of 1949, he finds himself in junior high and is at last allowed to grow up, establishing relationships with the girls in the Bullard home across the street. From an awkward adolescent who hangs his head, kicks the ground and giggles whenever Brenda Knickerbocker comes near, he transforms himself overnight (November 28, 1951) into a more mature young man when Babs Winthrop (both girls played by Barbara Whiting) approaches him about studying together. From then on, he branches out with interests in driving, playing the drums and dreaming of a musical career.

On top of the hill, is this picturesque castle, commanding a fine view of surrounding parts of the valley. This stunning building dates back to the late 19th century and is steeped in history. The building was constructed by Mr. Galois, who came from an important Luxembourgish family that was prominent in politics and industry in that time period. He was the head of the household and had thirteen children by two wives, and made this castle... the home of his family. As his children grew older and decided to live on their own, he and his wife at the time found the castle to be too voluminous and decided to turn it into a hotel and to live on a smaller scale. Ultimately, Mr. Galois died at the age of 64 and the castle was sold. This time not to a Luxembourg family, but to an Arab family who bought the property as a summer residence. The castle thus became the new property of a prosperous oil sheik and his family. Their Islamic faith is still reflected everywhere in their former holiday home by the day of today. But now comes the interesting part that we observed during our research. The last Arab owner of this property died in 2015. This is the exact year that the former king of Saudi Arabia died and we see this important person everywhere in photos spread throughout the property. It gets even crazier: the owner has exactly the same name as this former king of Saudi Arabia. However, further research refutes this theory: we then arrive at a FaceBook profile of the owner, of which we will not share much with respect for the next of kin. Here we find the heartbreaking reports of the loss of their loved one. After this sorrowing event, his family never returned from Saudi Arabia to visit their castle. Instead, I'm visiting it today to take you into the bewitching story of this Arabian family and give you a glimpse into their lives. Next to a train railway, we encounter this abandoned cottage. A small stream flows right in front of the house. We can hear the birds chirping and the morning sun shines softly on our faces through the morning dew. We find out that the front door is not locked and decide to take a look inside. Inside we find the remains of a former scouting club that must have once had their clubhouse here. Why the building looks like this now remains unknown to us, although we assume that the association no longer exists. It's a shame to see how a building that was once filled with laughter and life now looks so dilapidated. And what makes it even sadder is all the children's toys, clothes, and children's drawings that are slowly rotting inside. While driving to the next place in Spain, we stumble upon a house that seems to be abandoned for a while. Curious explorers as we are, we decide to take a peek around the property. This "casa" was built in 1919 and was once the home of Mrs. Elina and her family. A family of the middle class seems to have lived a simple and peaceful life in this cozy and adorable home. What happened to them, remains unknown. After a few hours, we leave their former home again, thankful explorers as we are to have seen another beautiful piece of Spanish culture. By the early 1950s, Birdie was heavily depended on by the rest of the family in fulfilling many of the functions of the household matriarch, whether it be giving sound advice to an adolescent Leroy or tending Marjorie's children. By the late 1940s, Marjorie slowly matures to a young woman of marrying age. During the 9th season (September 1949-June 1950) Marjorie meets and marries (May 10) Walter "Bronco" Thompson (Richard Crenna), star football player at the local college. The event was popular enough that Look devoted five pages in its May 23, 1950 issue to the wedding. After living in the same household for a few years with their twin babies Ronnie and Linda, the newlyweds move next door to keep the expanding Gildersleeve clan close together. Leroy, aged 10--11 during most of the 1940s, is the all-American boy who grudgingly practices his piano lessons, gets bad report cards, fights with his friends and cannot remember to not slam the door. Although he is loyal to his Uncle Mort, he is always the first to deflate his ego with a well-placed "Ha!!!" or "What a character!" Beginning in the Spring of 1949, he finds himself in junior high and is at last allowed to grow up, establishing relationships with the girls in the Bullard home across the street. From an awkward adolescent who hangs his head, kicks the ground and giggles whenever Brenda Knickerbocker comes near, he transforms himself overnight (November 28, 1951) into a more mature young man when Babs Winthrop (both girls played by Barbara Whiting) approaches him about studying together. From then on, he branches out with interests in driving, playing the drums and dreaming of a musical career.

The Great Gildersleeve (1941--1957), initially written by Leonard Lewis Levinson, was one of broadcast history's earliest spin-off programs. Built around Throckmorton Philharmonic Gildersleeve, a character who had been a staple on the classic radio situation comedy Fibber McGee and Molly, first introduced on Oct. 3, 1939, ep. #216. The Great Gildersleeve enjoyed its greatest success in the 1940s. Actor Harold Peary played the character during its transition from the parent show into the spin-off and later in a quartet of feature films released at the height of the show's popularity. On Fibber McGee and Molly, Peary's Gildersleeve was a pompous windbag who became a consistent McGee nemesis. "You're a haa-aa-aa-aard man, McGee!" became a Gildersleeve catchphrase. The character was given several conflicting first names on Fibber McGee and Molly, and on one episode his middle name was revealed as Philharmonic. Gildy admits as much at the end of "Gildersleeve's Diary" on the Fibber McGee and Molly series (Oct. 22, 1940).
