It is built around the use of a 41.5" LG Display WRGB OLED panel, which has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) and a matte anti-glare screen surface. The monitor supports a refresh rate of 138Hz (120Hz + mild factory overclock) and Adaptive-Sync, which allows for the use of VRR technologies such as Nvidia G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync, with a VRR range of 48-138Hz plus LFC. So not only is production of QD panels increasing at a substantial rate according to reports, but what really gets me excited is we actually have some information on some new displays coming out from Philips. Now this information comes from a whathifi article and according to them Philips is set to unveil multiple new gaming focused displays such as the 34M2C8600 a 34” QD OLED display with a 3440x1440 resolution and a refresh rate of 175Hz. Additionally they will be releasing an OLED that goes by 42M2N8900 which is a 42” OLED panel with a 138Hz refresh rate much like we saw from LG as well as ASUS recently, but the real question is, will they take 20 grit sandpaper to the finish of the display or will they unveil a glossy finish... Now in terms of the price it looks like things are gonna be a little wild as ALLEGEDLY the 34” QD-OLED will be $1,825 and the 42” OLED will be $1,990, and oh boy if that's true these displays better be doing a whole lot more than their specs suggest, because that's a lot of scratch for displays that are using panels already available on the market, so hopefully these are just placeholder prices. This is my Philips Evnia 34m2c8600 monitor review. Here is quite possibly the best 34-inch monitor I've had the fortune of seeing. It's stunning in various different ways, the first of which is that incredible QD OLED panel which has some seriously nice colour representation and stunning visuals. This is a fast-refresh panel too, at 175Hz (over DP) with a 3440 x 1440 resolution and a 21:9 aspect ratio. I've seen a number of ultra wide monitors and this is easily the best looking one, but it also has various other features that make it worth considering: - Ambiglow lighting that adds immersive lighting to your wall - Reasonable speakers that aren't terrible - Interesting Picture by Picture mode for connecting multiple devices - A smart magnifying mode for sniping baddies in games (CHEATS!) - Various visual settings that include easy reading and low blue light modes that make it easy on the eyes - Built in KVM switch so you can manage two PCs with one mouse/keyboard setup - Reasonable HDR that turns on automatically Please note links listed here include affiliate links which may earn me a commission. I found very few holes in it during testing. The only things of note are the pixel refresh mode which is designed to help with screen longevity sometimes can turn the screen off when you're in the middle of using it and then you have to power it off to fix it. The speakers are "ok" but not amazing. Otherwise it's superb. One thing of note is that you need to use Display Port if you want 175Hz. HDMI will only give you 100Hz. The mood lighting system syncs to the colors on the screen – much like Ambilight in Philips TVs. The 34-inch QD-OLED monitor (34M2C8600) is based on the same panel from Samsung Display as the existing Dell, Samsung and MSI QD-OLED monitors. It features 3440x1440 resolution, 1800R curvature, 0.1 ms true response time, deep black and high contrast, a 175Hz refresh rate, VRR, and true HDR capabilities. It is equipped with 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.0 ports. Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 is expected in Europe to be available in January for 1850 Euro. The 42-inch OLED monitor (42M2N8900) is based on LG Display's panel which is also found in LG's own monitor and Asus' 42-inch OLED monitor including the matte coating. It features 4K resolution in 16:9, deep black and hight contrast, 138Hz refresh rate, true 0.1 ms response time, and true HDR capabilities. It also has an adjustable stand, 1x DisplayPort 1.4 and 2x HDMI 2.1. Philips Evnia 42M2N8900 is expected to also arrive in Europe in January for roughly 2000 Euro. In addition, Philips announced a slower and less advanced 34-inch miniLED VA LCD monitor (34M2C7600MV) with 1152 dimming zones, 3440x1440 resolution, a claimed 2.5 ms (g2g) response time, 165Hz, and up to 720 nits SDR brightness. It will be available in December for roughly 2100 Euro.
