Played by: RickyC Replacement video for my previous FFVIII video. Now with high quality visuals and in sync sound. This game has so much detail that i find new things even on this run. I complete most of the major side quests including shumi village, Pupu, CC card group (but I do not collect all the cards) and teh chocobo forests. The parts of the video I cut include when I draw 100 spells from an enemy (I will draw a few before it skips to when i have finished), when I am playing cards (if i'm farming for common cards I will cut it out to only show one game), when I am leveling up AP (near the start when i'm filling fish to learn card mod and much later when fighting cactuar's to learn the rest of my abilities) and when I am leveling up my characters near the end on the island closest to hell (you'll see my level just shoot up after the fight few fights i show). - Disclaimer: Most videos by World of Longplays use SaveStates!

Please read before watching if this is your 1st Dansg08 movie or if you want to know how this movie will work. - This is the PS4 version of the Remaster, I will be including all of the main storyline cutscenes and dialogue that I encounter during my playthrough. I will not be showing any random encounters and boss battles will either be totally skipped if not story relevant or shown in a condensed manner. I will do my utmost to remove as much of the battle visuals like the selection menu as I can to retain an immersive viewing experience. - I have tried to maintain the dialogue pacing fairly fluid, there is no perfect speed for this but my rule of thumb is to read it with my normal speed then add an extra second for those who might not be able to read as fast or don't have English as a first language. - I am an experienced video game editor/movie maker, having done this since 2013 but there are some things that I am unable to fix. The main technical issue with this game is that there is no setting available to turn off the game's music and play with SFX only. Normally I like to add all the music in afterwards so that when I edit and shorten battles or traversal you don't have the music jumping around, you can see recent movies like FFXV and God Of War for examples of that. Since this game doesn't have such an option I am forced to play with both music and SFX on and as such the audio transitions can sometimes be more jarring than I would like, my apologies for that. I do not have the expertise to do it any other way, playing with music-only and somehow doing all my own SFX and inserting it afterwards etc is an impossible task. - The remaster retains the game's original 4:3 aspect ratio. This is a disappointment for me as I expected 16:9, but in case you aren't aware the game's original data was lost by the company and a lot of this remaster had to be reverse engineered. As I understand it, converting it to 16:9 would require a huge amount of extra work. I preferred to not stretch the aspect ratio artificially as it can look worse than just having the black bars down the side. Squall, Rinoa and their friends embark on a journey beyond space and time to save the world from a terrible fate. After 20 years, it's finally time for fans to revisit one of the truly unique experiences of the Final Fantasy franchise. Last time I played FF8 was almost 20 years ago, and in playing through it again, it's amazing how little I remember. But as for this remaster? It takes a few steps forward and a few back.
