This proccess is according to HP Tech support themselves. New Printhead: It's simple to fix your clogged HP Printhead. Simply remove it and soak it on a wet paper towel for 5 to 10 minutes. It's also worth noting that your printer's printhead will last longer if you leave your HP printer on. This is not the case with every brand printer. Epson for example recommends turning your printer off when it's not in use.

This video will show you how to replace your printheads on your HP Designjet T790, T795, T1300, and T2300 models. Start at the printer interface, hit the home button if not already on the home screen. Push the button in the upper left. Then push the 3rd icon on the bottom from the left. Then push button in top right. Then press Replace Printhead. The printhead carriage will slide over. The interface will prompt you to open the cover. Then prompts you to access the printhead carriage by unlocking the blue lever. Each printhead has a small blue handle, use that to pull the printhead out. Then insert new printhead. Lock the carriage back up. Close the cover. The machine will go through a printhead alignment and will be ready to print. Congratulations, you just replaced a printhead!

If your HP Printer isn't printing black and missing colours just follow these simple steps to clean your print heads under the tap as shown. Drying them with a hair dryer or rag and fitting them back in. To do this, you need to take out the printer head unit that holds the Ink Cartridges in the printer. This simply unclips from the printer. There is no need to waste ink trying to clean heads until you have done this as it adds to the build up of dried ink on the print head. Typically the black is first to go as this is the most used ink cartridge and excess ink drys around the head, blocking it when you need to use it after a period of little to no usage. I spent hours going out of my mind trying to find a quick solution that didn't require buying anything from anybody. As it wasn't easy to find I thought I'd share it with you how I solved this problem here on YouTube.
