Testing Light loss, CA, Sharpness and zoom factor of an Olympus Wcon 8B Wide converter on the Sony CX900. No adjustments were made to the clips they are presented straight from camera. This is a very cheap way to widen the range of your CX900 by a factor of . ( From a minimum 28mm to with adapter). I purchased this adapter used online for $35 Canadian (Like New) The adapter has a105mm front filter and 62mm thread on the back. Therefore no step up or down rings are needed for the CX900. The adapter does not vignette on the CX900 and there is no light loss. I would recommend this setup for anyone looking for a little wider view with the CX900. For me the place I want to use this is when filming in my boat. 28mm is a little tight. With the CX900's excellent Zeiss lens the footage shot with this converter is still very sharp. At f2.8 the center sharpness is very good. The outside edges are soft but sharpen up nice by F8. If you zoom halfway or more into the telephoto end the image will become soft.

Been looking into wide angle lenses for our Panasonic G85 and they all seem to be iffy. They're either very expensive ($1000) and missing crucial features such as image stabilization (Panasonic 8-18mm), weather sealing (Panasonic 7-14mm), or less expensive ($400), but require manual focus. To fix this we picked up the NiSi Wide Angle Lens Adapter for 58mm thread lenses for our Panasonic G85 12-60mm kit lens and very impressed by the quality. WHERE TO BUY Wide Angle Adapter Aliexpress: eBay: I bought the NiSi version in this video, however stock is hard to find. There still seems to be similar looking ones on Aliexpress and eBay now too. Just make sure you select the appropriate caliber for your lens, eg. for the G85 kit lens, I used the 58mm. Aliexpress and Paypal gives you buyer protection for your purchases so if someone sends you a dud, you can just get them to step in for a refund. The best thing about it however is that it just works, the quality is great, there's no vignette and you get to keep all the features of the kit lens - autofocus, image stabilization. Comment from Hank Lai 14-140mm ii, 15mm/f1.7 & 25mm/f1.7, the AF only works on 14mm focal of 14-140mm ii and 15mm/f1.7. It looks AF problem as focal greater than 15mm for the above lenses. But magically, AF works on my friend's 12-60mm for all focal as your combination.
