Reset the maintenance count on an HP LaserJet 4200, 4300, 4250, 4350 1. Turn the printer off. 2. Turn the printer back on and, as the memory begins counting, press & hold down the checkmark button while the memory is counting. The memory starts counting at 000MB immediately after you turn the power on. If you press the checkmark buttong too soon - before the memory starts counting - this procedure won't work. 3. Continue to hold down the checkmark button until all three LEDs are illuminated. 4. Release the checkmark button. 5. Press the up arrow (Navigation) button until the message "New Maintenance Kit" appears on the control panel display. 6. Press the checkmark button once. A message "New Maintenance Kit " will appear in the printer's control panel display and the printer will be reset. Once the maintenance count has been reset the "Perform Printer Maintenance" message won't appear again until the maintenance interval has been reached (200,000 pages on a LaserJet 4200, 4250, 4300, and 4350 series printers). In this video we go over some of the odd repairs on the HP LaserJet 4200/4300/4250/4350. We will show you some of the sound dampening felts that end up causing jams all over the printer. We show you how the sound damping felt on the registration can cause and paper jam errors. We also show how the sound damping felts on the top cover can cause and Jams. We go over in detail how to remove the tray 2 solenoid and repair it. The tray 2 solenoid can also cause and paper jam errors. Our suggestion is to remove all these sound dampening felts completely, and to do the repair on the tray 2 solenoid.

If your printer is malfunctioning, you may be able to save money by troubleshooting the problem yourself instead of calling a technician. Many common problems are the result of a simple issue, such as improper positioning or dirt on the surface of the roller. Clean the transfer roller whenever you change the toner cartridge, to keep used toner from building up and clogging the print mechanism. In this video we show you have to install the paper pick up roller and the separation roller in your HP Color LaserJet CP2025 and HP Color LaserJet Pro 400 M451. The machines are technically different but take almost if not all the same parts. Please be sure to watch this video a couple times before attempting this install. This is one of the trickier ones so just take your time with it. If you get a paper jam in rear door and you paper is crunching up at the output bin its caused by the black flap getting stuck. There is a pad that reduces noise and when it wares out it gets sticky. I will show you how to clean it up and fix the issue. The pad is not needed. This should work on the 4200 series of HP Laserjet printers.
