Bill had a chance to play with the Canon TS-E 90mm f/ Macro Tilt-Shift Lens for the last month. A tilt shift lens is a specialty product so if you’ve never used one (or even heard of it) don’t worry. A tilt shift lens allows you to manipulate the shape and characteristics of your focused area and so it allows you to manipulate the depth of field in your shots. The tilt function allows you to get a diagonal focus instead of a parallel plane. The shift function allows you to solve a lot of the distortion from wide angles and to create some really, really unique panoramas. If you’re working at product or food photography this is something you should seriously consider adding to your bag. Take a look at some of the options and have a little fun. This is a specialty lens that works great for product, food, and creative portraits. This lens was released at the end of 2017 and replaces the old version from 1991. It allows you to fix the lens directly to the tripod and shift the camera body, as same as how those professional technical cameras cooperate with their sliding back. In this video, I review the Canon 45mm f2.8 TS-E tilt-shift lens. When I first started photographing portraits, the Canon 45mm Tilt-shift lens was one of the first lenses I purchased back in 2009. I have purchased and sold this lens at least four times, and each time I have sold it, I have instantly regretted it. Hence, why I still own it today. If you are looking to spice up your work, then I would recommend adding this lens to your camera bag.
