THE KIT INCUDING THE HANDLEBARS WHICH I BOUGHT IS: THE PANASONIC LUMIX DMC-TZ80 WHICH IS MY CAMERA OF CHOICE ON THIS GIMBAL. Shoots 4K video and stills, plus it shoots stills in raw mode. I would shoot raw and 4k on every single shoot if I could. It is wonderful. I want everyone to shoot raw and 4k. There we go. BTW is is actually raw not RAW. It is not an acronym. It is indeed a word. Raw data. Unprocessed. You know…...raw ! This camera fits in a pocket. It has a viewfinder, which is a nice touch at this price. This compact camera has a 30x zoom lens (24–720mm) and an 18 megapixel sensor. It has a small electronic viewfinder. It shoots 4K video and stills. The controls are comprehensive and similar to the company's mirrorless cameras. It is well made and feels robust. The lens is a triumph of the marketing department over optical and mechanical physics. Do you know anyone who can hand hold a 720mm lens steady? YES. ME. I HAVE THAT a1000 FEIYUTECH GIMBAL. :-) Panasonic advertise the TZ80 as the ideal travel camera. After taking hundreds of photos it became obvious that to get a reasonable percentage of presentable ones it is necessary to mount the TZ80 on a tripod, set the ISO to 400 or less (any higher and the digital noise is intolerable), record RAW and definitely do not use the so-called "intelligent auto" mode. OR USE A GOOD GIMBAL. Do owners of £400 compacts go the extra mile to process RAW images? I DO. There is a theory that any electronic device that needs a manual is defective in its design. Every function and operation should be intuitive. And if you need a manual to find and use the function then it's not worth having. The Panasonic camera I have came with a 75-page Basic Owner's Manual. The full "Owner's manual for advanced features" – in other words a manual covering everything the camera can do – must be downloaded from the company's website. This advanced manual comes as a 406-page pdf. MIND NUMBING Even a dedicated manual reader starts to succumb to glazed eyes well before reaching page 406, so what's to be done with a manual of this size, which is by no means the exception where camera user guides are concerned? Let's apply this logic to the Panasonic TZ80. One of its clever features is a rotating ring around the lens. What makes this control special is that it can do 16 different things, but not all at once. You may assign a preferred function to the ring. We use it for exposure compensation but it is set by default to control zoom. Seeing that zoom already has its own control lever around the shutter button, using the ring is redundant. How do you set the ring function to exposure compensation? Putting such a large book on a computer is ridiculous. It might occasionally be used for reference, but to sit down and absorb the information means putting it on some device more analogous to a book. It could be printed, hole-punched and put into a ring binder. This is how we have handled many camera and computer software manuals over the years, before iPad. The best way to keep a manual in easily accessible and portable form is on a tablet. We have user guides for cameras and applications in iBooks on the iPad. They are searchable, always to hand and haven't used up any trees. Instructions are on page 74 of the manual, and only a person with experience with many other cameras would find the adjustment by just poking around in the menu. If the shooting mode is set to Auto then the manual can be thrown away, but in the process the features engineered into the camera to produce the best images are also thrown away. A digital camera is a complex device deserving of respect. Which means reading the manual. Shakespeare did not write camera manuals. If he did, they would have been shorter. Integrated with 4-way joystick control technology, it can adjust the axis angles in all directions, and accurately perceive the feedback of your finger pressure & driving force. This can also achieve dynamic movement of the lens. Users can shift their positions between standing holding, inverted holding, frontal holding, reversed holding, high position holding, and low position holding as easily as they wish or it is required on a shoot. Microphones & lights etc can also be fitted on the bars. I fit action Cameras to them to cover some "B" footage, to be used as fill in videos to my main one, in post production. I also fit lights, plus my shotgun microphone or my Zoom H2n audio recorder to them too. Compatibility: For altering the FeiyuTech A1000 & A2000 from a single handheld model to a 2 handheld model. The extras are NOT on the balanced part of the gimbal at all, but onto the handle / handles. I have mounted my TZ facing forward and an action camera facing backwards not quite pointing at me, for "B" movie footage, and balancing the gimbal took me around 3 minutes.
