This is a video for Wacom support showing that the PCB in the stylus of my new Intuos Pro is loose. Holding the eraser button down with tape eliminates the extra slop and reduces the noise and movement in the nib making it somewhat usable. Without the tape the travel distance of the tip is ~ with the tape it is reduced ~ as it should be.

Here's a 2021 review of the Wacom Intuos 4 Large drawing tablet that was released in 2008. I've picked these up at good prices on secondhand marketplaces and think it's a good place for beginners to look when trying to find their first tablet, especially if you can find one of these Intuos3 or Intuos 4 models. The features and specs may be nothing new for Intuos Pro users, but for those with an entry-level tablet that are looking to upgrade without burning a hole in your wallet, the Intuos 4 (PTK-840) is definitely an option to consider. If you do want a more recent entry-level Wacom drawing tablet, check out the Intuos Small: (Affiliate link) Need free digital art software? I uploaded this video in an attempt to inform other tablet owners about a trick I learned for replacing the tablet surface -- which I cannot find replacements anywhere. I have resorted to using a 10 mil nylar stencil sheet. I have cut and applied such a sheet to my tablet and it seems to be performing well.
