This was a very interesting build, we took a Dell r510, installed 12 Micron 1100 SSD 1TB HD. Then we upgraded all of the firmware, The time consuming parts are time skipped, there are a lot of instructions, like installing and deploying a terminal RDP server over a workgroup, setting up and using iDRAC enterprise to upgrade the system services console, upgrading firmware, repairing UEFI, installing a UEFI OS installation on GPT, with an over 3TB usable C:\ OS Drive, Setting up RDP licenses (retail), and changing them from Per Device to Per User. I hope this is a very helpful and interesting video for all. Entire Buildout with licenses was just under $7k, runs 4 small companies now.

So the example in this video is of a Dell PowerEdge R730. When preparing Dell Servers for sale I like to make sure the idrac, BIOS, and diagnostics are up to date. I will also blow out dust and test all the ports. If you are just getting rid of a server I would clear BIOS settings, reset idrac to defaults, clear idrac logs, and clear raid controller settings. Obviously destroy or wipe drives as well.
