Corrections:

120+ Nintendo Switch Games Tested with Nintendo Switch Online Controllers / MY LIFE IN GAMING
We think the Switch's classic-styled NES, SNES, N64, and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive controllers are much more useful and interesting when it comes to regular Switch games than they are for the Virtual Console-style Nintendo Switch Online apps they're intended for. You might just find some pretty cool ways to play some pretty cool games here! It's more than 120 Switch games in just over 120 minutes!

Introducing Kubernetes Environments in Rancher - February 2016 Online Meetup
Over the last few months our team at Rancher Labs has been adding support for Kubernetes natively within Rancher. Our implementation of Kubernetes takes advantage of Rancher’s platform orchestration, simple UI, access control, networking and storage capabilities to deliver simple to deploy Kubernetes clusters for building applications. In our February meetup we introduced this new support, and discussed how these Kubernetes environments compare with our native Docker environments and help you understand when and how each can be used to power your containers.
In this recorded meetup we demonstrated:
-Deploying a Kubernetes Cluster within Rancher
-Launching Kubernetes Pods and Replication Controllers
-Leveraging Rancher services within Kubernetes
-Understanding the differences between Kubernetes and native Docker environments
-Service discovery, scheduling and high availability within Kubernetes

Cleanflight Flight Controller Roundup - Part 2 - F3 Boards
I compare the biggest and most popular F3 based multirotor flight control boards and give you the information you need to decide which one is best for you. If you're going to fly a drone racing quadcopter or fpv acro multirotor, you need a flight controller that is going to deliver serious performance. The good news is that ALL OF THESE BOARDS will run Cleanflight or Betaflight, which means EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM should fly equally well. That means that the only thing differentiating them is convenience features like extra UARTs, board layout, ease of build, reliability, and of course price. These are the exact factors that I discuss in this video.
---
IMPORTANT! Here is something I missed in this video. Both the Lux and the Cyclone lack a CP210 chip for their USB-to-serial conversion. Instead, they use a Virtual COM Port like the CC3D. This means that whenever the board reboots, the COM port goes away. Some people find this annoying because it takes some time for the O/S to restart the COM. Also, on some Windows machines, the COM port doesn't come back until you plug and un-plug the board. Other people don't find it inconvenient at all and wonder what all the fuss is about--it just takes a little longer to come back after you save changes.
I say in the video that all F3 boards run through a VCP, but that isn't true. Some of them have the CP210 chip on board to let them act like a legit USB device. Only the Lux and Cyclone use a VCP.
Another side effect of VCP is that BLHeli passthrough does not work on the USB port. Rather, you have to connect an FTDI adapter to a UART. It is my understanding that support for proper (USB port) BLHeli passthrough on the Lux is currently under development, so this situation may change in the near future, but for now, this is the state of things as I understand it. UPDATE: As of Betaflight , BLHeli passthrough now works over VCP.

WHEN NATURE STRIKES BACK in Faroe Islands. -Sailing to Greenland Part 3. -
Things did not go as planned in any way during my attempt to sail from Faroe Islands to Iceland- on my way to east Greenland.
Some times you just have to accept being defeated. The most important thing is how you deal with it, how you get back up.
This is what happened, and what forced me to cancel the rest of my adventure. Nature is for sure an overwhelming power not to be underestimated!
Im already planning my third attempt to reach Greenland next year. This time I. WILL. MAKE. IT.

OpenContrail is an Apache project that is built using standards-based protocols and provides all the necessary components for network virtualization–SDN controller, virtual router, analytics engine, and published northbound APIs. It has an extensive REST API to configure and gather operational and analytics data from the system. Built for scale, OpenContrail can act as a fundamental network platform for cloud infrastructure. The key aspects of the system are:
Network Virtualization: Virtual networks are the basic building block of the OpenContrail approach. Access-control, services and connectivity are defined via high level policies. By implementing inter-network routing in the host, OpenContrail reduces latency for traffic crossing virtual-networks. Eliminating intermediate gateways also improves resiliency and minimizes complexity.
Network Programmability and Automation: OpenContrail uses a well-defined data model to describe the desired state of the network. It then translates that information into configuration needed by each control node and virtual router. By defining the configuration of the network versus of a specific device, OpenContrail simplifies and automates network orchestration.
Big Data for Infrastructure: The analytics engine is designed for very large scale ingestion and querying of structured and unstructured data. Real-time and historical data is available via a simple REST API, providing visibility over a wide variety of information.
OpenContrail can forward traffic within and between virtual networks without traversing a gateway. It supports features such as IP address management; policy-based access control; NAT and traffic monitoring. It interoperates directly with any network platform that supports the existing BGP/MPLS L3VPN standard for network virtualization.
OpenContrail can use most standard router platforms as gateways to external networks and can easily fit into legacy network environments. OpenContrail is modular and integrates into open cloud orchestration platforms such as OpenStack, Cloudstack, and is currently supported across multiple Linux distributions and hypervisors.
To learn more see the deep dive slides or the detailed software architecture document including more use cases as well.
OpenContrail Governance
OpenContrail is an open source project committed to fostering innovation in networking and helping drive adoption of the cloud. OpenContrail gives developers and users access to a production-ready platform built with proven, stable, open networking standards and network programmability. Project governance model will evolve over time according to the needs of the community. It is our intent to encourage meaningful participation from a wide range of participants, including individuals as well as organizations.
OpenContrail sits at the intersection of networking and open source orchestration projects. Networking engineering organizations such as the IETF have traditionally had a strong emphasis on individual participation based on the merits of one’s contribution. The same can be said of organizations such as OpenStack with which the contrail project has strong ties.
As of this moment, the OpenContrail project allows individuals to submit code contributions through GitHub. These contributions will be reviewed by core contributors and accepted based on technical merit only. Over time we hope to expand the group of core contributors with commit privileges.
OpenContrail Advisory Board (OCAB)
OpenContrail Advisory board was recently formed to provide inputs on strategic priorities, community evolution, development roadmap, project governance and operational efficiency. A diverse mix of top contributors and stakeholders from various backgrounds have been chosen to represent the OCAB. Read more about OCAB here …

Since its birth, the Web evolved from a system to share and view scientific documents to a full-blown platform for sophisticated applications. While in the beginning most Web applications were implemented purely on the server-side, modern ones heavily rely on client-side components.
AnuglarJS is the latest addition in this process. Within an Angular application the server is merely a data storage facility with a few additional access checks. The core of the application is running on the client-side.
As Angular is specifically designed to work on the client-side, it attempts to remove the main points of friction for developers. By providing a templating system, two-way bindings and custom directives, DOM interactions can be reduced to a bare minimum.
From a security point of view this is very interesting as Angular removes the need for using some DOM APIs with very sharp edges (innerHTML, ). On the other hand, Angular introduces new ways of approaching application development that are largely unexplored in terms of security.
This talk provides an introduction to Angular security. It first introduces the core design ideas and security principles of AngularJS. Then, based on the experience of the Google Security Team, this talk will cover common security pitfalls that are specific to Angular applications. In general, we will cover Angular's string interpolation functionality, strict auto-escaping templates, URL-based directives and insecure legacy APIs. Elite Dangerous Enhanced Missile Rack CG - Live
Mining is the Community goal this week
*Pilots Federation ALERT*
The engineer Liz Ryder has requested mined materials to help make a previously unique ship module widely available.
The module is a fully engineered lightweight and high capacity Class 2 Seeker Missile Rack with thermal cascade. It was offered in October 3306 to pilots who helped defend the Eurybia system from Imperial forces. At the time, the Empire suspected Liz Ryder of supplying weapons to the NMLA terrorist group.
Ms Ryder has announced that her aim is to make this specially modified weapon available for purchase at all human technology brokers. She added:
“Pilots can help kick-start this project by providing mined commodities, which will temporarily reduce the number of materials that customers require to obtain the missile rack. As a bonus, the highest contributors to this initiative will be gifted with the module.”
“I’m pleased to be working with tech brokers to add this to the market. Many engineers think we could do more to serve the galactic community, and this is a step in that direction.”
Shipments of bromellite, lithium hydroxide, osmium and samarium can be delivered to Awyra Flirble in the Eurybia system.

What Does “Production Ready” Really Mean for a Kubernetes Cluster? - Lucas Käldström, Individual (Advanced Skill Level)
How would you describe and set up a “production ready” Kubernetes cluster? How are the buzzword terms “production ready” and “highly available” defined anyway? Can a cluster be created so that it’s end-to-end secured, has no single points of failure, is upgradable without control plane downtime and is conformant? If you have access to automated infrastructure, e.g. via a Cluster API controller, you should be able to do CI testing of your cluster, as well as CD of new configuration and versions. Some call this pattern “GitOps”; to write the desired cluster state declaratively and let a controller reconcile the cluster state. By the end of this talk, you should be able to tell: - What you may consider a “production ready” cluster to be and identify the moving parts - How to secure cluster component traffic - How to minimize failure points - How to manage clusters using the Cluster API

About OpenGL
The Open Graphics Library (OpenGL) is used for visualizing 2D and 3D data. It is a multipurpose open-standard graphics library that supports applications for 2D and 3D digital content creation, mechanical and architectural design, virtual prototyping, flight simulation, video games, and more. You use OpenGL to configure a 3D graphics pipeline and submit data to it. Vertices are transformed and lit, assembled into primitives, and rasterized to create a 2D image. OpenGL is designed to translate function calls into graphics commands that can be sent to underlying graphics hardware. Because this underlying hardware is dedicated to processing graphics commands, OpenGL drawing is typically very fast.
OpenGL for Embedded Systems (OpenGL ES) is a simplified version of OpenGL that eliminates redundant functionality to provide a library that is both easier to learn and easier to implement in mobile graphics hardware.
OpenGL ES allows an app to harness the power of the underlying graphics processor. The GPU on iOS devices can perform sophisticated 2D and 3D drawing, as well as complex shading calculations on every pixel in the final image. You should use OpenGL ES if the design requirements of your app call for the most direct and comprehensive access possible to GPU hardware. Typical clients for OpenGL ES include video games and simulations that present 3D graphics.
OpenGL ES is a low-level, hardware-focused API. Though it provides the most powerful and flexible graphics processing tools, it also has a steep learning curve and a significant effect on the overall design of your app. For apps that require high-performance graphics for more specialized uses, iOS provides several higher-level frameworks:
The Sprite Kit framework provides a hardware-accelerated animation system optimized for creating 2D games. (See Sprite Kit Programming Guide.)
The Core Image framework provides real-time filtering and analysis for still and video images. (See Core Image Programming Guide.)
Core Animation provides the hardware-accelerated graphics rendering and animation infrastructure for all iOS apps, as well as a simple declarative programming model that makes it simple to implement sophisticated user interface animations. (See Core Animation Programming Guide.)
You can add animation, physics-based dynamics, and other special effects to Cocoa Touch user interfaces using features in the UIKit framework.
OpenGL ES Is a Platform-Neutral API Implemented in iOS
Because OpenGL ES is a C-based API, it is extremely portable and widely supported. As a C API, it integrates seamlessly with Objective-C Cocoa Touch apps. The OpenGL ES specification does not define a windowing layer; instead, the hosting operating system must provide functions to create an OpenGL ES rendering context, which accepts commands, and a framebuffer, where the results of any drawing commands are written to. Working with OpenGL ES on iOS requires using iOS classes to set up and present a drawing surface and using platform-neutral API to render its contents.
GLKit Provides a Drawing Surface and Animation Support
Views and view controllers, defined by the UIKit framework, control the presentation of visual content on iOS. The GLKit framework provides OpenGL ES–aware versions of these classes. When you develop an OpenGL ES app, you use a GLKView object to render your OpenGL ES content. You can also use a GLKViewController object to manage your view and support animating its contents.
iOS Supports Alternative Rendering Targets
Besides drawing content to fill an entire screen or part of a view hierarchy, you can also use OpenGL ES framebuffer objects for other rendering strategies. iOS implements standard OpenGL ES framebuffer objects, which you can use for rendering to an offscreen buffer or to a texture for use elsewhere in an OpenGL ES scene. In addition, OpenGL ES on iOS supports rendering to a Core Animation layer (the CAEAGLLayer class), which you can then combine with other layers to build your app’s user interface or other visual displays. Bioshock 2 is far superior to the ambitious but convoluted Infinite, and takes from the foundation that Bioshock laid down, and improves on it in almost every single way.
Bioshock 2 launched in early 2010 to good reviews and sales. Yet, at large, the game seems to be somewhat forgotten and less fondly remembered in various circles, beyond the Minerva's Den DLC, regarded as one of the best DLCs is that been the case?
Bioshock 2 in a way is like Rodney Dangerfield, it seems to get no maybe no respect, but certainly deserves more.
This Bioshock 2 review, analysis, retrospective, and critique look at why I feel Bioshock 2 is the best Bioshock. From improving nearly all the shortcomings that the original had, to improved combat, a story that had more emotional depth and tugged at the heartstrings instead of messing with your mind (which for whatever reason people hold against Bioshock 2), going further into the little sister and big daddy relationships, having the series best section, and being ahead of the curve of what I like to call the "AAA Dad Simulator" games like God of War 2018, Bioshock Infinite, The Last of Us, and The Witcher 3.
Bioshock 2 is the best in the series, even without the guidance of Ken Levine, a short development time of two years (as opposed to 5ish for Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite), and making a sequel for a game that didn't necessarily need one.

The current generation of consoles—marked by the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2020—is less about what games you're playing, and more to do with how you play them. In PlayStation's case, it's all about the tech—the SSD, 3D Audio and the like—all designed to get you more deeply invested in any given experience. The true game changer, however, has ended up being none other than the controller, the DualSense. One year post release, let's examine some of the games released on the system (including Returnal, Ratchet and Clank, and even Death Stranding) to see how developers have utilised the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers of the DualSense, what could be improved, and if the tech's potential to shift our view of entire genres of game will be realised in the future.

For disclosure, Sony sent me a PS5 at launch back in November 2020. They then decided to send me two further DualSense controllers a few months later and a Pulse3D headset a few weeks ago. My policy with anything like this, whether it's hardware or a review code, remains the same—I do not feel in any way entitled to it, nor do I care if a company decides not to send me anything else in the future if they dislike my coverage. I don't let that cloud my judgment of something I'm covering. If my honesty covering something results in losing future access to a company's releases, so be it.
With that said, Sony had zero influence in this video—this is not an ad. I just figured that given the high price and disappointing scarcity of some of this gear, you should absolutely bear in mind that I did not have to pay for it.

The Moustache Samedi 27 Xroad 5 is a premium hardtail crossover electric bike that's capable on road, gravel, and light mountain trails. Reinforced triple cavity downtube, tubular aluminum alloy fenders, and strategically mounted lights hold up to bumpy conditions. Adjustable suspension fork and suspension seat post pair nicely with the swept-back "mustache" style handlebar. Battery and frame lock are keyed alike to reduce clutter and effort. High attention to detail with custom black rims matching the hubs, spokes, and nipples. Bottle cage bosses below the downtube put fluids within reach, basic flick bell included on right. Custom rear rack is compatible with Basil MIK system on top and Ortlieb QL3 system on the sides. It connects to the fender in two places for added strength, and is positioned forward from the saddle to create plenty of cargo space. Top of the line Bosch PowerTube 625 battery pack provides incredible range, and can be charged on or off the bike. The Performance Line motor blends power, efficiency, and low noise perfectly. It offers shift detection, high pedal RPM support, and up to 65 newton meters of torque for capable climbing. Sturdy drivetrain with slap guard, aluminum alloy chain guard, and full-coverage plastic chain cover to keep your pants or dress clean. Removable Bosch Intuvia display is one of my favorites because it's easy to read, offers Micro-USB charging, and provides lots of readouts. Lots of gears with an extra wide 11-42 tooth cassette, premium Shimano SLX derailleur, and two-way trigger shifter that work great for climbing off-road of finding a perfect cadence on long rides. Capable Shimano hydraulic disc brakes are reliable and easy to actuate. Plastic battery cover does not lock to the frame, charging port is in the path of the left crank arm, battery locking design is a bit finicky. More expensive and heavier than past Xroad 5 models I've reviewed.

Emerging Technologies in Emergency Response - Webinar Featuring Opticom and Whelen Engineering
Emergency Vehicle Preemption (also known as EVP) is the formal term for the technology that clears traffic and gives you the green light on an approach to an intersection. For years this technology was enabled by infrared and GPS technologies. Now, it is Cloud-enabled. This advancement is valuable because it allows seamless interaction with other Cloud-based platforms.
That means less hardware on your vehicle and access to more features such as fleet management, advanced vehicle analytics, and remote configuration. That also means no costly hardware installation, regular product updates, and more.
The results: You save time and money!
On July 26, 2022, product experts from GTT, makers of Opticom, and Whelen Engineering spoke on their partnership in bringing EVP to the Cloud. They discussed:
1. What is EVP, and how does it work?
2. What new product features are offered on these cloud platforms? And how can they benefit me?
3. What is needed for my agency to deploy these integrated solutions?
4. Is there federal funding, such as ARPA, for use to subsidize solutions?
There were many questions asked during the dedicated Q&A time, so be sure to watch to the end.
For more information on this partnership, check out the GTT blog:
To find out more information on federal funding that may still be available to your agency, check out our Federal Funding Guidebook here:

Each day you interact with thousands upon thousands of processors, servers, storage systems and high-speed networks. You don't see them, and you don't physically touch them, but they are there, making everything happen behind the scenes. Everything is powered by advanced computing, from your morning news, movie and video streams, phone conversations, currency, financial markets, pharmaceuticals, navigation, traffic, weather, email and of course all of our social media updates. Each of us consumes vast amounts of data and computation on a daily basis. We also continue to push the boundaries of our science and discovery. Using ever more complex computer models to peer into the darkness of space or to understanding the genetic basis as to why were are human. All of this needs computing for it to work correctly, and it also needs advanced infrastructure and distributed computing architectures to work quickly. James Cuff is the Assistant Dean for Research Computing here at Harvard. His group runs more than sixty thousand high performance computing processors and more than fourteen petabytes of storage for science. On a global scale, this system is tiny. However, he will show you real world examples of the advances in computation science, physical infrastructure and distributed computing systems we are using each day, whether you are a particle physicist trying to reverse engineer the very fabric of the universe – or maybe you are just updating your selfie... So what will you learn from this seminar? You are all designing software for your final project. Facebook for example, was originally designed as a small single server PHP application. In order to make it scale to today’s hundreds of thousands of servers and billions of users took years. James will explain how both datacenter and systems architectures that now surpass electrical power usage of 10-20 megawatts – (enough to power more than 20,000 houses, nearly half of the City of Cambridge) enable today’s applications to scale. Each computation, be it add, subtract, multiply, divide, strcmp(), grep or memory hash lookup you make in your application now matters. You will be shown not only how distributed computing factors into your applications, but also how the actual energy efficiency of your algorithms matters. Designing, and thinking about how your application will scale from the beginning to potentially manage 10,000’s of page impressions a second is now the new normal. The Ultimate Switch Dock? Brook Gaming Power Bay Switch Dock with Gamecube Ports & Bluetooth Audio
In this video, we unbox, set up, & test out the Brook Gaming Power Bay Dock for the Nintendo Switch & Switch Lite.
We've covered a ton of Switch Docks here on our channel. Most of them work identically, reducing the size of the original Dock to something that is both more portable & less expensive. However, they all pretty much do the same thing in different form factors. That is all about to change thanks to the folks at Brook Gaming & their Power Bay Dock. They reached out to us & asked us if we would be interested in testing out their new dock, & when I saw it I knew I had to.
The first thing you will notice about the Power Bay is the overall aesthetics of the dock. It looks like a scaled-down GameCube! The front features two GameCube controller ports & two USB ports for use with USB controllers and accessories, a turbo button that you can turn that function on or off with the GameCube controllers, & Bluetooth functionality to connect to headphones.
There is no power supply included, however, they recommend using the OEM Nintendo power supply. When I connected everything up to my EZCap 284 capture card, the display on the TV and on my Switch kept flickering on and off. For some reason, the video output was not compatible with what the input requirements of my capture card were. It also did not work with my mCable. My ElGato, however, had no issue passing the video signal through or capturing video.
I was able to pair my Raycon Bluetooth earphones to the dock pretty easily initially, however when you remove the Switch from the dock it doesn't remember the devices that it is paired to, requiring you to pair Bluetooth every time you want to use it essentially. I'm hoping this is just a pre-production issue that gets ironed out. But I will say this is one of the benefits of the power Bay with the Switch light, as it connects & accesses all of the ports. There's also no diode to prevent back voltage from the Switch into the dock, meaning the dock can be powered by the Switch itself. If you do this you are going to reduce your battery life.
One oddity I noticed was that I did not have to use game mode on my television while playing. Normally, game mode is required when playing games on modern flat-panel TVs due to lag & latency issues. This had none of those issues which could be why it did not work with my EZCap 284 & why it was not compatible with my mCable.
When playing on my TV, everything works great. The colors look good, as I mentioned lag and latency was not an issue, and there's just something awesome about playing with an actual GameCube controller on the Switch. While I did not show it in the video, because you can do this with the original dock as well, every USB controller that I have from Retro-Bit and Retro Fighters that I tested on the Power Bay worked flawlessly.
Why it RoX:
- amazing styling
- 2 integrated GameCube controller ports
- 2 USB Ports
- compact design
- compatible with Bluetooth headphones
- compatible with Wavebird
- dust flap protect USB C Port when not in use
What could be improved?
- Bluetooth pairing is not as seamless as it should be
- only one color option
- not compatible with certain capture cards
- not compatible with mCable
- only one color option
- at $55 it is towards the top of the price range
Should you buy one?
Even if you do not want to use GameCube controllers with your Switch, there's one asset that the Power Bay offers that to me makes it exceedingly valuable. Compatibility with Bluetooth headphones allows you to play completely wirelessly without disturbing others around you. It also is fully functional and compatible with the Switch Lite, minus output to the TV for obvious reasons. It is not inexpensive, but it packs a lot of technology into a very small package. I love the Bluetooth functionality, but its integration could be streamlined & perfected a little bit more. There's no reason that it should forget the device it was paired to when you remove the switch from the dock. The pairing is done to the dock, not the console.
For those who are hardcore Smash Bros fans, you will appreciate the fact that you can play using what is widely believed to be the premier controller to play the series without adapters with the Power Bay. It's small, compact, and lightweight, and when it comes to gameplay, it just works. whether having the integrated GameCube ports, turbo button functionality, & Bluetooth is worth another $20 to $25 you'll need to decide on your own.

I have run into video game preservationists. It’s a hazard of the job, research older games enough and they’ll pop up out of nowhere. However, what does video game preservation mean? At first glance it seems like such an obvious answer, and then once you give it a little bit of thought you’ll realize-- actually it’s not so simple at all. Here’s a complete look at Game Preservation. What is it, what are the problems, what is the future, and why should you care?

SDC 2018 - Container Attached Storage (CAS) with openEBS
Presented by Jeffry Molanus, CTO, openebs
Download Presentation:
Abstract:
Applying micro service patterns to storage giving each workload its own Container Attached Storage (CAS) system. This puts the DevOps persona within full control of the storage requirements and brings data agility to k8s persistent workloads. We will go over the concept and the implementation of CAS, as well as its orchestration.
Learning Objectives:
1. Go over the modern day apps and their storage needs; under the notion of applications have changed someone forgot to tell storage
2. What are the problems to use technologies like user space IO, in particular using technologies like SPDK among others
3. Looking devops and the k8s model, how can we bring the power of user space storage in developers hands? Virtio for containers? direct access from the go run time for example SPDK?
4. We have tried both, and like to share the outcome of this with you Це відео автоматично взято із YouTube за назвою товару, можливий неправильний пошук.
