My SanDisk Extreme 128GB (red/bronze, U3, A2) was reading 97 and writing 90 with my old reader, but the Kingston delivered faster performance -- dramatically in the 165 read and noticeable in the 113 write. I had similarly fast results with a 64GB SanDisk Extreme. Other standard cards (Samsung Evo Select green/white series, SanDisk Ultra Plus, SanDisk Industrial, Samsung Pro Endurance) did not show any performance shift; they read fine but no faster than on a reader from two years ago. So, pair this with a fast card, and you'll get faster results. It's my go-to for around-the-house "sneakernet" data transfers between machines.

The Kingston MobileLite G4 is the worlds smallest UHS-II memory card reader. It's an incredibly light weight device that weighs only 16 grams. Which makes it incredibly portable and you can even fit it in your pocket. In addition to that, the reader is also made out of high quality materials. The entire body is made out of solid stainless steel, which also includes the USB 3.0 connector. Which thanks to the design, is impossible to break. The back end of the MobileLite G4 is the only part that's actually made of plastic. It's the area that has both the SD and MicroSD slots. And yes, you can use both of them at the same time. In terms of speed, as I mentioned before, the reader does support UHS-II memory card readers. The catch here is that it only supports SD cards. So the MicroSD slot still only supports the UHS-I standard. If you have a UHS-II MicroSD card and want the higher speed, then you should use a compatible SD adapter. Overall Kingston has done a fantastic job at creating a high quality memory card reader that can be used by both professionals and everyone who needs to read memory cards.

Недавно в одном из своих видео я тестировал карту памяти от компании СМАСУНГ на 256Гб. Если вы помните, то в ходе тестирования выяснилось, что характеристики работы данной карты принципе соответствовали заявленным производителем. Но оказалось одно НО. Поскольку мы использовали штатный карт-ридер ноутбука, мы выяснили что быстродействие данного карт-ридера сильно отстает от характеристик работы тестируемой карты памяти. И чтобы проверить достоверно насколько это реально, я решил поискать внешнее устройство для чтения карт памяти, которое обладало бы необходимыми характеристиками и при этом было не дорогим. Поиски заняли некоторое время… Как оказалось, в интернет представлено достаточно большое количество всевозможных устройств с ценой от пары до 47 долларов. После тщательного изучения характеристик, а также принимая во внимание возможные отзывы, в итоге я свой выбор остановил на модели MobileLite G4 от компании Kingston стоимостью 12 долларов США в эквиваленте. MobileLite G4 компании Kingston - это многофункциональное устройство чтения карт памяти в металлическом корпусе с компактным форм-фактором. Оно не крупнее большого зажима для бумаги, поэтому оно легко умещается в кармане, кошельке или чехле для камеры и идеально подходит для использования в рабочих и личных целях. Это универсальное устройство - оно поддерживает карты памяти SD, microSD с максимальной на сегодняшний день скоростью работы. Универсальность устройства заключается в том — что оно поддерживает карты формата SD/SDHC/SDXC, microSD/SDHC/SDXC. При этом карт-ридер поддерживает новейшие стандарты карт, UHS-I и UHS-II. Поскольку MobileLite G4 совместимо со спецификацией USB 3.0 (стандарт SDA ) соответственно поддерживает высокую скорость работы интерфейса USB 3.0, экономя время при передаче цифровых файлов, фотографий, игр, музыки и многого другого. Мы видим, что линейная скорость составила 98,19 Мбайт/с. Линейная скорость записи карты составила 87,75 Мбайт/с. Произвольное чтение/запись блоков по 4 кбайт без очереди в один поток на высоком уровне 8,1 Мбайт/с. По результатам теста можно смело утверждать что в обоих случаях заявленные производителями характеристики, что Samsung, что Kingston, ПОЛНОСТЬЮ подтвердились. Трудно найти причину не рекомендовать Kingston MobileLite G4! A за такую цену, конкурентов у этого устройства попросту нет. Ну а на сегодня все. Всем хорошего настроения! И до скорого!

Turns out there is a difference. My SanDisk Extreme 128GB (red/bronze, U3, A2) was reading 97 and writing 90 with my old reader, but the Kingston delivered faster performance -- dramatically in the 165 read and noticeable in the 113 write. I had similarly fast results with a 64GB SanDisk Extreme. Other standard cards (Samsung Evo Select green/white series, SanDisk Ultra Plus, SanDisk Industrial, Samsung Pro Endurance) did not show any performance shift; they read fine but no faster than on a reader from two years ago. So, pair this with a fast card, and you'll get faster results. It's my go-to for around-the-house "sneakernet" data transfers between machines.
