Chevrolet, представил новое поколение подкаченного Corvette Z06. И по правде говоря мы не планировали выделять эту новость в отдельный выпуск, но как это можно не сделать, когда американцы выпустили такого дикого скакуна и он так и напрашивается на отдельное видео. И автомобиль действительно получился внушительным и речь не только о внешнем виде, хотя он тоже неплох, благодаря новому обвесу с более широкими крыльями, новым бампером с крупными воздуховодами и небольшим сплиттером. Ну а теперь самое интересное - силовая часть. За передним бампером расположились новые радиаторы с большей площадью им нужно больше воздуха чтобы справляться с неистовой мощью 5,5 литрового атмосферного V8 с заводским индексом LT6. Это знакомый бензиновый агрегат с двумя верхними распредвалами, он выполнен из алюминия и прошел испытания в гонках на прототипе С8R. За его плечами шесть титулов и один кубок конструкторов. Для большей прочности и меньшей массы двигатель оснастили кованными алюминиевыми поршнями и кованными шатунами из титана, а выпускные коллекторы изготовлены из нержавеющей стали. The 2023 Corvette Z06 is finally here and in this video I’m going to go over some of the spec and tech of the Z06 and then jump into Photoshop for a subtle redesign of the front end. Overall it’s a lot better looking than the C8 and I’m gonna let you know why in just a minute when we compare the front, side and rear view to the regular C8 and look at all the differences. But there are a few graphic details that don't make sense to me - that’s what I’m going to redesign a little later in the video. it is simply a beast of a machine with tech that I never thought I would see in a brand new sports car today. I’m talking of course about the new naturally aspirated V-8 engine. It makes an impressive 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque and you get the power down through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Production is set to start next summer. With 670 horsepower, the all-new double-overhead-cam V-8 sets the record as the most powerful naturally aspirated V-8 ever fitted in a production car. This record ws previously held by the 2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series with its 622-hp V8. However there is no manual option for the Z06, the only option is the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic and I’m actually OK with that since I think it’s a perfect fit with this package. Just like most Ferrari V8s, this redesigned LT6 engine reaches peak power of 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque right at the redline at 8400 rpm which should make for an incredible old school driving experience. GM actually had the naturally aspirated Ferrari 458 as a benchmark during testing but decided early on to switch it up for the turbocharged 488. However the 488 just couldn't compete with the power delivery and noise of the 458 and it didn’t take long for the team to switch back to the 458 Italia and I’m really glad they did. So what about the wheels here. The wheels and tires actually sets the Z06 apart in a major way compared to the regular C8. This is a great example of how important the right wheels and tires are for a car to look planted and have a proper stance. You get 20-inch wheels in the front and 21-inch wheels in the rear of the Z06 which are forged aluminum. Now you also have the option of adding carbon-fiber wheels that are even lighter and faster around the track. Talking about the styling here the Z06 also gets a completely different front fascia and rear end than the regular C8 in addition to the typical fender flares that house the massive tires measuring 275mm wide in the front and 345mm in the rear. This gently used Z06 was originally registered in Michigan and came here to Vancouver and is now for sale. In fact this is my neighbours car and the family is moving it on. The 2006 Corvette Z06 was the first year of the Z06 for the C6. This is a 7L V8 or 427 cubic inches with 505hp. The transmission was only available as a manual and the exhaust has been changed to make this an even better performer.
