This is how to install this fan on this video card. Side note, this will void the warranty, but I had none anyway. My fan broke and this was 40 dollars on Amazon and 32 on eBay. I can tell it was the fan module because I plugged in a CPU fan into card and the fan did kick on.

My MSI gtx 1060 OC cooler was a bit noisy under load so I thought I would try an accelero twin turbo. Temps are better and I have some vrm cooling now. Also using the molex adaptor for the fans @ 7 volts makes it very quiet. However it's fiddly to install big and heavy. Temps Before: Around 70c Temps After Around 50c

For the review of the Accelero Xtreme III: Learn from my mistakes! This is somewhat like a "tutorial" I guess? So here are the steps I mentioned: 1. Remove original cooler 2. Clean the residue. 3. Dry run by simply placing all the necessary heatsinks over the VRMs and chips. 4. Look through and make sure all exposed contact points have insulating tape over them. 5. Start mounting the heatsinks. (NOTE: Do note use too much thermal glue) 6. Let the thermal glue cure (~1 hr should be enough. A day if you are extremely cautious) 7. Install the main cooler! CAN IT OVERCLOCK HIGHER? That is something that I have been wondering even since I got the RX 480 in here, though I just never got enough time to test if slapping on a much better cooling solution would do anything for the card. And honestly after benchmarking, I did manage to hit on the RX480, though everything wasn't entirely as it should have been.... And the ambients were pretty hot, in an airconned room I am sure things would have been different, but interesting none the less, and maybe it calls for different kind of benchmarking with overclocks? Get an Arctic Accelero X3 for $60 here - Get a smaller version here - *Edit I spelt Celsius wrong, oops, late night editing it all :p. I have never done a GPU Cooler comparison before, so I though it would be cool to compare Arctic Cooling's Accelero 3x Solution head to head with Gigabyte's Windforce 3x on a 980ti. Arctic Accelero $70 (Actually DAMN good for that price) - Version 3 (one used in this video) for only $57! - How I acquired this cooler was an interesting story which you can see in this video here - And I am really glad I got a hold of this cooler, it what my GPUs (and myself as an air cooling buff) have been missing in our lives... seriously this thing cools better than AIOs and I will be putting it head to head with a decent *wink wink* upcoming custom water cooling solution. I also did some gaming on this as well with DOOM, and the Accelero didn't top 48degreess... though the windforce hit 70....
