For those of you that are trimming your beard for precision, this trimmer will get the job done at a reasonable price. At just under $60 on Amazon, this Philips Norelco trimmer is well priced for the level of detail it provides. Now, while the Multigroom 3000 sells for the bargain price of $, it includes only 13 pieces. The Multigroom 7000, however, includes 23 pieces for hair, face and body grooming. This puts the Multigroom 7000 more in line with the Wahl Lithium Ion Plus, which has very similar detailing attachments. Similar to the Multigroom 3000, the Multigroom 7000 requires you to keep switching out hair, beard, and body guards for each length you require. However, this grooming device offers a greater range of attachments, leaving all beard and hair length trimming options covered. Additionally, the Multigroom 7000 includes a foil shaver for creating a smooth finish and a quarter inch precision trimmer for tight spaces. These attachments will help get past that stubble finish of the Multigroom 3000 and leave you with a smooth finish. Where the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 has an advantage is its quiet, powerful motor and DualCut blades. This precision trimmer cuts crisp lines and feels smooth throughout its use. And to show you the detail this Wahl trimmer can bring, I'm trimming down my beard to a chin strap. At a price point of only $59 on Amazon, this stainless steel Wahl Lithium Ion Plus trimmer is reasonably priced for the quality it brings. Its self-sharpening, finely ground cutting blades pack superior cutting performance for a finer quality trim every time. While the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 has similar attachments to the Wahl Lithium Ion Plus and can be found at the bargain price of only $ on Amazon, the Wahl feels like a higher class of trimmer. That said, each trimmer can be looked at as having their own use case. While the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 is a great everyday beard trimmer for getting the job done, the Wahl is more of a precision machine. With the array of beard and hair trimming attachments provided, those looking to create a detailed, custom look, with crisp, tight lines and fades would find this trimmer a must. Not to say that the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 can’t trim with precision, but there’s a reason why Wahl has been used by professionals since 1919 and why the barbers I frequent have Wahl branded trimmers at the ready. Similar to the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000, where the Wahl Lithium Ion Plus Trimmer stands out is with the precision trimmer attachment. At only a quarter inch, this is one of the smallest beard trimming profiles I’ve come across and is great at fitting into those tight spaces for detailing your beard with ease. Overall, I’m impressed with the results of this stainless steel all-in-one trimmer. The Wahl Lithium Ion Plus is quality made and a precision and detail machine that gets the job done. It's not as full featured as a similarly priced Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000, but it makes up for this with the superior performance of its cutting blades. I appreciate your support of the channel! Philips Series 5100 Review: Philips Multigroom 7000 Review: In this video, I’m taking a look at the Braun BT3040 beard trimmer. This beard trimmer is an Amazon Choice Recommendation, ranking at #41 for the category of beard and mustache trimmers. It also holds a respectable 3.8 out of 5-star rating. Now, I thought it would be especially valuable if I not only reviewed the Braun BT3040 beard trimmer, but also compared it to the Philips Norelco Series 5100. These 2 beard trimming devices have very similar features, and it’s likely you’d be choosing between the two for your beard trimming needs. The Braun Beard Trimmer BT3040 utilizes a short and long beard comb that work in tandem with a precision dial. The Philips Series 5100 beard trimmer includes 3 beard and hair combs that work in combination with a built-in zoom wheel. I’ve read that some people have had an issue with the Braun BT3040 combs sliding out of position and accidentally pushing the cutting length dial to an undesired beard trim setting. While I didn’t experience this during my beard trim, it’s something to watch out for. The Braun BT3040 beard trimmer incorporates 39 length settings, ranging from 1mm to 20mm, with increments. The Philips Norelco Series 5100 is capable of cutting at 34 different length settings, from to 13mm. The Braun BT3040 beard trimmer features two AAA nickel metal hydride re-chargeable batteries that required 8 hours of charge time for 60 minutes of use. The Philips Norelco Series 5100 beard trimmer uses a Lithium Ion Battery and requires only 1 hour of charge time for 70 minutes of use. Note that both trimmers can also be used plugged-in for continuous use. As you’ll hear me say in the video, I found that the Braun BT3040 beard trimmer’s power dulled a bit as I worked my way through the beard trim. In listening to the hum of these devices side by side, it’s clear that the Philips Norelco Series 5100 beard trimmer is the stronger contender power-wise. The Braun BT3040 and the Philips Series 5100 beard trimmer, along with their attachments, are both fully washable. However, these trimmers can only be used in dry conditions and should not be used while bathing or in the shower. The Braun BT3040 beard trimmer requires occasional oiling to maintain the blades, while no oiling is needed for the Philips Norelco Series 5100. Currently, the Philips Norelco Series 5100 trimmer sells on Amazon for around $, while you’ll find the Braun Beard Trimmer BT3040 $10 cheaper at $. For this beard trim, I shorten up the sides of my beard, leaving a longer goatee and mustache. I trim under the neck line and around the face to get some nice crisp lines. I also work in some dimension by using just a few of the many settings available on these two beard trimming devices. These are two great beard trimmers, but there is a clear winner. Gillette touts this grooming device as an all-purpose trimmer, shaver and edger said to achieve any facial hair style. At just under $23 on Amazon, the Gillette Styler sits at a decent price for the level of performance it commands. The Fusion Styler is a Braun engineered power trimmer, featuring advanced technology for even beard trimming and ultimate maneuverability. Accompanying the Gillette Styler trimmer are three beard comb attachments, lengths 2mm, 4mm and 6mm. The Fusion Styler also includes one Gillette Proglide cartridge attachment and any Gillette Fusion razor blade refills can be used interchangably with the device. On the reverse side of this Proglide Gillette razor, is the precision trimmer, which allows you to create crisp, defined lines and finishing touches. For power, the unit runs on 1 AA battery and lacks a charging capability. According to Gillette, this should last anywhere from 1 to 1.5 months, based on average shaving. Additionally, the Gillette Styler is fully water proof and shower-safe, and an organizer is included. Overall, I'm impressed with the results of this all-purpose trimmer. The Gillette Fusion Proglide Styler is reasonably priced, quality made, and gets the job done. For those who shave and occasionally grow facial hair throughout the year, this is a good fit. But for those with longer beards, not shaving to the skin, a Multigroom 3000 priced at $ on Amazon would be a better fit in this price range. Ultimately, those looking for a higher-quality precision trimmer for face, head and body that can edge, detail, and foil shave should consider the Philips Multigroom 7000. In this video, I'm giving you my full review and comparison of the of the Remington PG6025 Lithium Power All-in-one beard trimmer vs the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 All-in-one beard trimmer, Model MG3750/60. For those of you that are trimming your beard on a budget, both of these trimmers are extremely affordable. At a price point of under $20 on Amazon, the Remington PG6025 and the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 are hard to pass up. But only one gets my full recommendation. Now, where the Multigroom 5100 and Multigroom 7100 both come with 18-built in length trimmer settings and a single beard comb attachment that can be sized on the device, the Multigroom 3000 requires you to keep switching out hair and beard guards for each length you require. There are also a limited number of beard and hair length trimming options. The Remington PG6025, meanwhile, includes a hair comb attachment with 8-built in lengths, but also includes 3 beard combs. This hair comb should be an advantage for the Remington PG6025, however, the comb had problems staying locked in position on the device. Additionally, the Remington PG6025, Multigroom 5100 and Multigroom 7100 all come with foil shaver attachments for finishing off areas with a smooth feel, while the Multigroom 3000 does not. That said, all foil shavers are not made equal, as the Remington PG6025 falls short in quality and smoothness of shave vs the Philips Norelco. Both the Remington PG6025 and Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 both come with the precision trimmer attachment. The Remington PG6025 has a three tooth cutting surface as compared to the roughly six tooth surface of the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000. Now even though the smaller Remington PG6025 should be superior in this category by fitting into tighter spaces, smaller was more of a problem, as only one hair was really cutting at a time. Overall, I found the Remington PG6025 All-in-one beard trimmer to be lacking in quality and was not impressed with the shave. I had power issues, warm blade issues, attachment issues, etc. In comparison, the Philips Norelco Multrigroom 3000 definitely feels like the better quality product. The Philips Norelco has a stronger motor, battery, cutting teeth, robustness of attachments, and overall feel. While both the Remington PG6025 and the Philips Norelco Multigroom 3000 are affordable, in my opinion, the Philips Norelco is the one that's quality made and get's the job done. It's not as full featured as the Multigroom 5100 and Multigroom 7100, but this is understandable for its bargain price. Jumping out at the bottom of this Brio trimmer is the crisp and clear LCD display. I appreciate your support of the channel! Philips Norelco Series 5100 Review: In this video, I give you my full review of the Conair I-Stubble beard trimmer, model GMT900N. Along the way, I test it against the Philips Norelco Series 5100 to find out which beard trimming device achieves the best stubble look. Right out of the box, Conair touts the I-Stubble beard trimmer for its pivoting flexhead technology that adjusts perfectly to your face for extra comfort and control. Conair further pledges that the I-Stubble is built to get you from five o’clock shadow to designer stubble. Looking at Amazon, the ConairMan I-Stubble is an Amazon Choice recommendation. It ranks at #23 for the category of Beard and Mustache trimmers and holds a 3.5 out of 5-star review rating. Inside the Conair I-Stubble GMT900N box, you'll find the trimmer and built in beard comb, electro-chemically formed blades, a charger, brush and lubricating oil. Now, if you take a look at my previous video on the Philips Norelco Series 5100, you’ll notice that these two grooming devices are both dry operation trimmers that claim to achieve the perfect stubble look. Starting with the Philips Norelco Beard and Head trimmer, this groomer utilizes 3 beard and hair combs that work in combination with a built-in zoom wheel. However, the ConairMan I-Stubble is made solely for the face and integrates a single flip-back guide comb that height adjusts on an LCD display. Focusing on height adjustment, almost identical to the Philips Norelco Series 5100, the Conair I-Stubble beard trimmer allows for 15-integrated trim settings. These start in increments from lengths to 2mm and increments from lengths 2mm to 5mm. As far as battery life, the ConairMan I-Stubble beard trimmer uses a nickel-metal hydride battery vs the lithium-ion battery of the Series 5100. Additionally, the I-Stubble requires 90 minutes of charge time for 45 minutes of use. Furthermore, a 16 hour initial supercharge will ensure optimum power performance for smooth fast trimming. In contrast, the Philips Norelco Beard and Head trimmer only requires 1 hour of charge time for 70 minutes of cordless use. Even more, the Conair I-Stubble GMT900N and Philips Norelco Series 5100 both have a 5-minute quick charge. The difference being that the I-Stubble is good for only 3 minutes of use, while the Series 5100 is good for one cordless trim. Both units can be used plugged in for continuous use. Now, for first use, Conair recommends that 2 drops of lubricating oil be applied to the blades. Before you apply, make sure the beard trimmer is on and the blades are actively moving. Important to note, oiling trimmer blades can reduce friction and keep them from pulling or snagging facial hair. Additionally, about once a month you should oil the trimmer blades. For cleaning after a trim, the blades are removable and can be rinsed under the tap. However, the Conair I-Stubble only to be used in dry condition and cannot be used while bathing or in the shower. Currently, the ConairMan I-Stubble beard trimmer, Model GMT900N sells on Amazon for $ vs the $ price tag for the Philips Norelco Series 5100. Overall, the Conair I-Stubble and Philips Norelco Series 5100 both achieved that stubble look at the setting. But that said, one of these trimmers has an advantage over the other and is my recommendation for you. Make sure to check out the video above to find out!
