Our bell actually has several pitch tones – one core and several supportive higher tones to ensure it’s unmistakable and safely heard. ✔ THE FIT What about getting it on the bar? Just pop it over, give the hex screw a quick tighten up, and you’re good to go. For handlebars measuring 23.8 – 26 mm in diameter we have supplied a spacer to help the Oi fit snugly and securely to your bars. Birthday present came in earlier! This should address the problems I encounter when cycling in parks! The bell is so flush with my flat bar, looks almost wasn't there. FYI, this is the upgraded Knog Oi, look for the orange sticker on the box that says 'Stronger & Louder" I'm using the large one.

Decided to put a bell again on my Brompton and spend a bit more. Saw this unique ring form factor of the Knog Oi bell. Bought the Luxe version (size small) due to the many complaints on the original Oi with a plastic hammer that easily gets deformed or broken. Honestly, my usual "higop" method of alerting people ahead (sucking air through pursed lips hehe) is louder thus more effective, but maybe a bit rude for some (don't know, and I'm definitely not whistling/cat calling anyone). So this bell gives a bit of refinement to the task, plus some nice looks on the bike too. Weird that it has to be called "Oi", like a redneck/yob/bogan/tambay calling over someone from afar. Pairing it with the word "Luxe" made it even more confusing. Maybe its just my ears, but the sound doesn't seem consistent. I feel its the way the hammer was pulled back and let go, at times it sounds crisp and lingers, sometimes dull and you feel the vibration on the handle bar more. Its also not the loudest of bells, but maybe that's what some want. Don't expect to warn motorist on the road with this. Its more effective for pavements and parks, and not rattling people of your presence with its pleasant ding. Too nice sounding that's it doesn't register to some that you're approaching them. Projekt dzwonka rowerowego KNOG OI był przeze mnie obserwowany podczas powstawania na Kickstarterze. Pomyślałem sobie wtedy, że fajnie by było mieć takie brzmiące jak instrument muzyczny cudo, ale chyba jednak nie będę chciał wydawać za dużo pieniędzy. Upłynęło półtora roku, kupiłem rower szosowy. W pewnym momencie pomyślałem, że i na nim chciałbym jeździć bezpiecznie, a przy okazji w miarę możliwości "na stylówie". A nice looking bell from Knog, but sound very weak even though it is the large model, which sound louder than their smaller model. The "grandmother" bell for $4 sounds a lot louder, even though you can't really hear that in the video, but it is approximately twice as loud. Before buying one, take your old one and compare in the store. Not very impressive.
