Meet the Bering 77 compact explorer yacht that will amaze you with her outstanding features and capabilities. Indeed, Bering 77 is much more powerful, seaworthy and roomy, than the most of her sisterships. Let’s discover this beauty imaculousely designed and built by Bering Yachts in Antalya. At the first glimpse, you immediately recognize her exterior’s classic lines that are common to the most expedition vessels. Here you have high flared bow, trawler-styled pilothouse and extensive boat deck enough wide to store two dinghies. What is not seen outside is that Bering77 is indeed a robust passage maker. She has 10-mm thick 23,95 m long strong steel hull enough to sustain any undesired encounter at sea. Moreover, this is a full displacement vessel but again, as though this is not enough to guarantee her smooth ride, Bering 77 has 7,30 m of beam and 166 GT of volume. With those dimensions she outperforms the most of other boats in the class. That means no one can beat this yacht’s fantastic stability and interior volume. Now keep in mind that this Bering is 77 ft boat and try not to be impressed with how much she can offer. At the top, there’s the hard-topped fly bridge that is vast enough to handle a party. All the facilities are at hand: a dining table to accommodate twelve guests, full-fledged kitchen with grill and a washer. Optionally, the forward facing are can be just a perfect observation point or fully equipped steering point. Down the stairs, there is the deck bridge that is large enough to accommodate sunbeds besides two stored dinghies. From here, there is direct access to sauna that you will really appreciate after whale-watching at the fly while in the high latitudes. The pilothouse is actually a living quarter should the owner prefer to enjoy driving himself. The perfectly inhabited zone can be either working area or cabinet. There is a dining / working table for eight, a day head and direct access to galley. Optionally, the table can be foldable to become a king size bed. Definitely, Bering 77’s pilothouse is equipped to the commercial vessels’ standards. All the systems are doubled for safety and satcoms are fantastic. The yacht is steered, anchored or parked without leaving the pilothouse. That what we call a modern approach to convenience and safety. Saloon is the largest room in the yacht and there owner’s imagination can see no boundaries. Any interior finishing, layout and equipment is possible. A fine dining for up to twelve persons or a lounge for relaxation with Hi-Fi and home cinema? Go further and combine both, as there is plenty of room. As a standard, the saloon is fully enclosed, but optionally, it can become common area with hard-topped cockpit. The cockpit as well is protected by freeboard and accommodates up to ten guests dining. There are grill and washing appliances at hand. The large swimming platform lower can amaze those sun-lovers that can easily take a bath there or just swim and launch toys stored at the lazarette. The living are at the lower deck impresses with the volume and efficiency. Optionally, there can be four staterooms or two guest staterooms and a beam-wide master forward with a separate entrance. No need to worry about noise or vibration from the adjacent engine-room. The yacht’s hull has five tight bulkheads that are fully sound proof. Therefore, guests may relax at their rooms even under way that makes sense at long-range passages. Powered by twin set of Cummings QSM11 diesels, Bering 77 can really go far. At cruising speed of 8 knots, the vessel’s range is 4000+ Nm. The tanks hold 24000L of fuel and 4000L of water. Given that batteries supply all the electricity, the autonomy of the boat is impressive. Overall, Bering 77 is a real explorer vessel perfect for year-round stay or long vacation. She is smooth and silent underway, efficient and reliable at remote areas, roomy and entertaining for a family and guests aboard.

In response to the requests of my viewers, then I thought that I would put a video together about the Bering 77! This impressive explorer yacht weighs in at 165 tonnes. The Bering 77 has a large, bulbous bow that helps her achieve maximum fuel efficiency as she glides through the water. You will notice, too, her high bow that helps to keep all who sail on her as dry as possible when the conditions of the sea take a turn for the worse. But this high bow also means that, further aft, the Bering 77 has a headroom of 7ft 2 inches, which is two metres! The Bering 77 explorer yacht also has a full-beam flybridge allowing you and your guests to make maximum use of the available space as you survey your surroundings whilst enjoying everything that comes with the freedom of having your own explorer yacht. Meet the new Bering 70 Ra 21meter yacht! The debut model for Bering’s Coastal series. She has been designed from the keel up to be the ideal vessel for extensive coastal cruising due to her shallow draft. Sea-trialed in the open sea with waves of more than 2 meters she passed 580 nautical miles from Antalya, Turkey to the ancient city Limassol, Cyprus and back. Let see her construction features Her hull shape and profile let you easily recognize that the Bering 70 is an atypical motoryacht that is incredibly stylish. A reverse-raked bow, the superstructure with large use of panoramic windows, high bulwark with numerous elements of stainless steel. Elegant mast carrying radar, communication antennas and lighting devices. In general, the exterior design of Bering 70 developed by the Australian company Sabdes displays an image filled with clean crisp lines. Featuring a pilothouse deck, full displacement hull and a range of over 2,500 nautical miles she’s ready to carry you and your guests to far away destination. Another feature of the Bering 70 is the abundance of open deck space, a spacious flybridge of ​​35 sq. m. equipped with a second helm station, barbecue area, 2 fridges, sink, U shape settees and big table. There is a stair leading to the main deck on portside board. On the aft deck there is a space to keep a tender with crane. Flybridge is covered with a harptop equipped with solar panels on it. - on the main deck the saloon, galley and pilot house are located in one level  - the covered cockpit provides additional outdoor living space regardless of weather conditions, be it intense tropical sun or a rainy day at anchor - the rest is arranged in classical way: wide sofa, big table, sink, the telescopic pasarel on the port side and stairs to the swimming platform on the starboard side. The swimming platform of 10 sq. m. is equipped with a ladder and a hot shower. -on main deck you will enjoy full walk around side decks making for easy line handling and fender placement when docking. Bow deck is equipped with all necessary anchoring devices and a huge sun pad under which there is a storage tank with a drainage system A huge sun pad is located immediately forward of the pilothouse. The pilothouse is the command where most of the ship’s controls and displays are collected. From here you can monitor all critical systems such as tank levels, engine metrics, and battery banks. This lower helm station is perfect for steering in inclement weather conditions. Wing doors lead to both port and starboard side decks. Generous window placement on three sides provides complete forward and adjacent viewing of your surroundings. Right here on port board side there is a stairs leading down to forward stateroom. Additionally, the use of large glass panels throughout the saloon and the pilothouse create a refreshingly open and airy feeling while aboard. The starboard side cabinetry houses a pop-up flat screen directly across from the settee which allows you to face the TV directly as opposed to having to look off to one side. The galley blends perfectly into the saloon space, creating one large communal area which is ideal for entertaining. The galley area including oven, fridges, induction cooktop and a transformer table along with the forward L-settee are located on the port side. The entrance to the saloon is equipped with reliable watertight doors, the ceilings are made of eco-leather with integrated LED lighting, on the starboard side there is a staircase to the lower deck where the master stateroom, guest stateroom and an engine room are located. All heads are made in capsule way that is very practical and completely eliminates leaks, the interiors are made in a modern style; polymeric fabrics; lacquered wood; metal decor elements; king and queen sized double beds plenty of space for storing things and personal belongings In all staterooms of Bering 70 are installed rectangular portholes. The engine room allows to stand upright and houses the twin Cummins engines in addition to many of the ship’s machinery components such Seakeeper, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning  system, firefighting and heating system, hydraulic and electrical control units. Bering Yachts places great emphasis on minimizing noise and vibration coming from this space. The entire engine room is surrounded with acoustic paneling and heavy bulkhead insulation. According to the sea-trial results, fuel consumption for engines at a speed of 8 knots is 12 liters per hour. This ex-fishing trawler is crazy! I think, although this vessel doesn't have sails, that this boat is pretty neat and the interior is definitely shocking. It's a great, off-grid cruising platform that you can take anywhere. You'll just have to watch to video to see for yourself if you haven't already. What do you think? The decision to place the master here was easy, as Buonpensiere explains. ‘These are explorer yachts, meant to cruise extensively during the night, so [main deck] isn’t the best place to have the cabin. Second, on this size of boat, a main-deck master cabin is never going to be as large as the one below.’ Instead, crew and operational areas take up prime real estate forward of the saloon: the galley to port; crew mess starboard; two en suite cabins for the captain and two crew forward; the bridge just above. Not only does sequestering the crew area allow yacht operations without interrupting guests, but on long voyages, it is important crew have their own space. But this design is not meant to divide guests and crew at all times. The crew mess with washing machine, dryer and three fridges, has a sofa for five where the owner might sit for his morning coffee or the children can take a meal. Percheron is designed for long range, in both her endurance and in her provisioning prowess. She has another three large fridges in the galley and a big freezer below. ‘We have a volume normally seen on a boat of 35 meters,’ says Buonpensiere. ‘You have this volume, but the cost of a 24 meter boat – buying it, maintaining it… We’re giving a lot of boat for the money.’

Following the construction of Icon's remarkable 68 meter explorer yacht "Ragnar" has been a unique and thrilling privilege, and one I am so happy to have been able to share with you. Recently the shipyard invited my team and I to visit the yacht as she was in her final stages of delivery. Lots of work was still going on on board, but we were able to film a unique glimpse of a vessel that is so much more than just another explorer yacht. She is a real ICON!

The Engine room has definitely stolen Rico's heart (and for all of you tech & mechanical Geeks you are in for a treat!)... and what about the Master?!
