I purchased the Princeton Tec Mossy Oak Gamekeeper Vizz headlamp a few months ago and noticed that the batteries kept dying. I did some testing and found that after using the headlamp for just a few minutes then turning it off, about a week later the batteries would be dead when I would go to use it again. I thought I got a lemon so I bought another one, it does the exact same thing. I looked online and found that many other people have been having the same issue. I contacted Princeton Tec to see if there is a fix, they said to put it into storage mode, I did this on both units and still have the same issue. I contacted Princeton Tec again today 2/23/2021 to see if I they would refund the first headlamp that I purchased as it is outside the Amazon return window, they would not. It is unfortunate that Princeton Tec doesn't stand behind their products, according to the dates on the many online posts I found, this problem has been out there for several years. I wanted to buy Made in the USA, this time it didn't work out. Just a warning to folks who may be shopping for a headlamp.

The buttons for the different modes are just way too confusing! I like it how it has bright lights, dim lights and red lights, but the fact that I have to hold the single button up top to get into all the different modes is too much for me. Maybe it's really simple and I am just too stupid to figure it all out. But if I am looking for a light to work on my headlamp, it's annoying to have this thing be super complicated to work. Seriously, they need a lesson from apple. Maybe two buttons on top will be best for what they are trying to achieve! Update: This light eventually stopped working. I figured I better set up a little experiment to prove that there is an issue with the Princeton Tec Mossy Oak Gamekeeper Vizz, so I put my meter in series with the battery pack to see if there is some current being drawn. As you can see from the video there is a 3mA draw even when the headlamp is off, it takes a few days but eventually your batteries will die.
