With tart, sparkling citrus draped over a backbone crisp with forest woods, oakmoss, and white jasmine, Hacivat recalls the oakmoss-laden glory of woody chypres like Pour Monsieur that once populated men’s perfumery. The pineapple note. Rich and natural-smelling rather than sporty or cheap, the pineapple note is so well done here that it redeems the reputation of the much-maligned fruit. Hacivat wears on the skin as lightly as a white linen shirt in summer. It is discreet, professional, and sparklingly clean, but possessed of just enough bitter moss and woods for gravitas. A rare, classically-built woody chypre with a contemporary edge.

They have 16 perfumes in their catalog currently and every single one was better than the other. I enjoyed that scent a lot as it was big bold and aromatic at the top and very spicy in the middle and woody in the dry down. Boy once I received the bottle to review is when I fell in love with it even more. Nishane Spice Bazaar takes me back to the days when I was a little kid traveling with my mom and dad to the spice markets in the Middle East and eventually ending up in the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul which this fragrance is inspired from. All the spices, the foods, flowers, leatherware, carpeting and more is captured in this ultra potent extrait de parfum to make one beautiful concoction. I really enjoy this one and it really takes me back when I wear it.
