Today we’re going to talk about the most important function of vitamin E. The most important function of vitamin E is that it helps stabilize cell membranes.
What’s interesting about the cell membrane is that it has a double layer of fat. It has both saturated and unsaturated fatty acids. People are worried about avoiding saturated fats, but the cell membrane is actually made out of saturated fat and cholesterol.
Vitamin E benefits:
• Prevents oxidation of the cell parts
• It’s a significant antioxidant
• Prevents retinopathy
• Supports glutathione
• Prevents nerve damage
Most of the vitamin E is stored in the liver and fat cells. But, a significant amount of vitamin E is stored in the pituitary gland. Important hormones like estrogen, testosterone, progesterone, and cortisol originate as a controlling hormone in your pituitary. Because these hormones are made out of cholesterol and fat, you need high levels of vitamin E to help protect them from being oxidized.
Vitamin E can also help as a natural remedy for symptoms like hot flashes during menopause. This is because during menopause, estrogen goes down, and if you don’t have enough vitamin E to compensate, then hot flashes can kick in.
When you take vitamin E, always take the natural form that includes all of the tocopherols and tocotrienols.

1. Spider Veins
Spider veins are often a sign of liver disease. Also known as spider nevus, these are small, dilated blood vessels clustered together on the surface of your skin.
2. Itching

Today I want to cover the best herbs for parasites. A parasite is a microorganism like a worm or bacteria that basically lives off of your body but doesn’t give you anything back. Even though your friendly bacteria live off of your body, they are not parasites because they can actually do things for you, such as:

• Eat fiber and convert it to things like butyrate

In this video, we're going to talk about vitamin E and coronary heart disease. There are some studies that show that vitamin E causes coronary heart disease and others that show that vitamin E may help with coronary heart disease.
The studies that show that vitamin E causes coronary heart disease seem to always use synthetic vitamin E. They're not using natural vitamin E. In nature, vitamin E always comes in a complex with many different parts. It doesn't come as one thing. When you take just the one thing, you're only getting a small portion of the vitamin E complex.
If you take a vitamin E supplement, I believe it's important to get the version of vitamin E that has tocotrienols. This is the natural version.
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin, which means it can penetrate the cell wall and the plaque inside of the arteries to help dissolve the plaque. It may also help decrease platelets from forming that form clots. It may even help prevent the oxidation of cholesterol. Vitamin E is important in helping to prevent clot formation, which can also lead to strokes.
Whole grains are not a good source of vitamin E. But there are many fantastic sources that you can get.

In this video, I’m going to talk about the benefits of vitamin D as well as symptoms of vitamin D deficiency. In certain studies, Americans have been found to be the #1 population in vitamin D deficiency.
Some of the main symptoms of vitamin D deficiency are a weakened immune system, candida or bacterial overgrowth, emotional ups and downs, hormone imbalance, trouble putting on muscle or losing weight, weakened bones or teeth, cancer, heart disease, or diabetes. Vitamin D supports having a healthy immune response, digestive health, hormone balance, and more.
The biggest causes of vitamin D deficiency are not getting enough sunlight, certain chemicals from plastic bottles (BPA), and toxicity. Try to get outside every day for about 20-30 minutes of natural sunlight.
Certain foods that are sources of vitamin D are wild caught fish, raw fermented milk, mushrooms, and eggs. However, there are small amounts in the food you eat.
For a good supplement, I would recommend a high-quality vitamin D supplement. You don’t want to take vitamin D2, but you do want to take vitamin D3. For supplementation, take about 2000-5000 IUs a day. However, if you have a severe deficiency, then for 1-2 months, you may take 5000 IUs twice daily. Lastly, you want to take your vitamin D3 with some form of fat like coconut oil or avocado to help absorption in your body.

Lose Belly Fat | How Vitamin D3 Burns Fat | Weight Loss & Your Thyroid-
Hey, bad news for everyone that's looking for a magic pill for fat loss. It doesn't really exist. But, what I'm finding through a lot of research recently is that Vitamin D3 might be as close as we can get to something that can reduce belly fat as anything that's out there. Let me explain how this works because honestly it's pretty fascinating.
What Vitamin D is, first and foremost is a fat soluble Vitamin. It's a fat soluble Vitamin that helps regulate mood, it can help regulate metabolism and most importantly it regulates where calcium goes in the body. But, because it's fat soluble it means that it's stored in the fat cell. Start thinking about this: if you have an excess amount of fat or if you're overweight that means that most of the Vitamin D that you consume, even if you're taking a supplement, is going to get sequestered into those fat cells and it's going to stay there meaning you have less bio actively available Vitamin D3 to do the cool things that I'm about to explain.
Let's talk about how Vitamin D3 actually burns fat. The first method is by increasing something called Leptin. Have you ever eaten food before and gotten full? If you haven't you're probably not human. Honestly, what happens is leptin signals your brain that you're full. When you eat a lot of food you have the production of Leptin, signals your brain that you're full and you stop eating. Problem is that without Vitamin D3, Leptin levels don't generally increase that much. If you have enough D3 your brain can signal and your brain can be told you need to stop eating. It's that simple. Low levels of Vitamin D3 those Leptin levels don't get too high and you can keep eating, making it very easy to overeat.
Remember what I said about the Vitamin D3 getting stored in fat cells? Think about this, if you already are low in D3 and then you eat and you don't have enough Leptin so you keep eating more then you're going to develop more fat cells, which means you're going to hold onto more Vitamin D in the fat cells and more and more to the point where you have this snowball effect where you continue to store fat. Are you one of those people that have just looked in the mirror and say how did this happen to me?
Honestly, I was one of those people seven or eight years ago. The other way that Vitamin D3 is proving to potentially be a good belly fat burner is through the modulation of the parathyroid and calcitriol hormones. The Parathyroid is a small set of glands around the thyroid in our throat and basically when they produce parathyroid or they produce calcitriol, we have a rapid increase in how our body stores fat. It tends to want to store it more. If we have enough Vitamin D3 the parathyroid and calcitriol hormones aren't quite as crazy. They're not going quite as haywire, which means your body slowly stores and slowly metabolizes fat versus doing it rapidly, making it where you look in the mirror and feel like it happened overnight.
Those are the two main reasons that Vitamin D3 is starting to play a big role in belly fat. This wouldn't be a traditional video of mine if I didn't at least reference one peer reviewed, double blind placebo study. One study took 218 women. These 218 women they gave a strict diet and exercise program to and they asked them to follow it for a year. Then they took half of these women and they gave them Vitamin D. The other half of the women they gave a placebo. After one year of time, it was found that the women that took the Vitamin D had on average seven pounds more weight loss than those that didn't take the Vitamin D. It doesn't sound like much but just by adding Vitamin D, it's pretty dang interesting.
Then, there's one other study. There is another study that found that those that were taking Vitamin D3 had a better waist to hip ration than those that were not.

The number of supplements out there that I would place on my "highly recommended" list are extremely few and far between, but for the majority of individuals, vitamin d is definitely one of them.
Vitamin D benefits are quite lengthy, ranging from optimizing testosterone production to balancing mood to improving bone health to enhancing cognitive function. Unfortunately, most people in today's modern society do have a small (or large) vitamin D deficiency and aren't receiving enough each day for optimal health.
Unless you spend many hours a day outside in the sun or live in a very warm climate, it's almost certain that you should be including a vitamin D3 supplement in your bodybuilding and fat loss plan. Although it won't have any serious direct effects on muscle growth or fat loss, its many positive health benefits will definitely carry over and help you out in the big picture.
How much vitamin D is necessary? It will vary from person to person and you'd ultimately need to get blood work done to know for sure, but a vitamin d dosage of around 2000-5000IU per day is a good guideline. (The risk of toxicity is very low)
Do vitamin supplements work? Yes, the research has clearly shown that supplementing with vitamin D3 will raise and sustain levels in the blood. It's also relatively inexpensive which is an added bonus.
Again, vitamin D is not going to have any magical muscle growth effects, but it's still definitely a worthwhile supplement to consume. For example, its effects on mood and well being may improve your overall drive and motivation in and out of the gym... its effects on immune system function can help to fight off sickness... and its effects on optimizing testosterone could help out if your levels are particularly low.
So, to correct your vitamin d deficiency and get all of the vitamin d benefits outlined in this video, I would highly recommend consuming a vitamin d3 supplement each day.
