Камера построена на продвинутом сенсоре изображения который предназначен для компактных фото- и видеокамер. Светочувствительная КМОП-матрица с обратной подсветкой имеет разрешение 12 мегапикселей для более качественного изображения, чем у других камер для RPi.
Камера поддерживает стандартные объективы с креплением типа C- и CS-mount, а в комплекте приложен адаптер C/CS.
Байонет объектива сделан из фрезерованного алюминия. На нём есть крепление для штатива.
Камера подключается к Raspberry Pi плоским FFC-шлейфом в разъём CSI, при этом USB-порты остаются свободными.
Шлейф длиной 20 см из комплекта подойдет для одноплатников форм-фактора Model A и Model B, а для плат семейства Zero / Zero W понадобится шлейф под мини-разъём CSI.
Камера готова к использованию прямо из коробки и не требует установки дополнительных драйверов - только включения интерфейса в настройках малинки.
Для работы с камерой вам понадобится объектив с креплением C/CS-mount, и у нас есть, из чего выбрать под разные задачи.
Широкоугольный объектив c фиксированным фокусным расстоянием 6 мм и полем зрения 63° удобно применять, если расстояние между камерой и наблюдаемыми объектами ограничено. Например, он будет полезен для охранных систем.
Для установки его на камеру проставочное кольцо необходимо снять.
При помощи колец можно настроить фокус и диафрагму, а специальные винты помогут зафиксировать положение.
Телеобъектив позволит вашей Raspberry Pi снимать удалённые объекты с двухкратным приближением, не меняя положение камеры.
С помощью зум-объектива можно поймать в кадр живность на природе, сохраняя дистанцию, или же исследовать интересующий объект крупным планом.

This is a new high-quality camera module launched by the Raspberry Pi. It is based on the IMX477R and needs to be used with a C/CS type lens. The High Quality Camera Module is a camera sensor designed to accept CS-mount lenses and, with the supplied adapter, C-mount lenses for use with the Raspberry Pi single board computer line. It offers higher resolution (12 megapixels, compared to eight megapixels), and sensitivity (approximately 50% greater area per pixel for improved low-light performance) than the existing Camera Module v2. The 12.3 megapixel Sony IMX477 sensor features a diagonal image size and back-illuminated sensor architecture with adjustable back focus. Additionally, this module features an included tripod thread just adjacent to the ribbon cable connector.
This is the 6mm CS-mount wide angle lens from CGL Electronics Co. Ltd. for use with the Raspberry Pi HQ Camera Module. The lens produces a 3MP picture in a image format and is easily interchangeable using the thumb screw and adapter included with the Pi HQ camera module.
This is the 16mm C-mount telephoto lens from CGL Electronics Co. Ltd. for use with the Raspberry Pi HQ Camera Module. Currently in the process of setting up Octoprint on my Creality Ender 3 Pro. This video brings you along in my adventure to create a halfway decent camera setup on this 3D Printer. On a previous Octoprint setup I used a slightly less expensive camera and only got mediocre results. I figured I would try out a slightly better camera module that makes use of better lenses. The Raspberry PI HQ camera module is definitely overkill for this project, and to be completely honest, I might use this sensor for another project and pick up a more suitable camera setup. Something like an Arducam 5MP Camera, or an Arducam 12MP Camera.
It has been ages since I jumped on Fusion 360 and designed something. So I figured designing this camera case would be a good excuse to brush up my skills.

Here’s what we made for Nano and Xavier NX users:
Please keep in mind that:
This tiny V2-like camera is completely compatible with the native Jetson Nano & NX camera drivers (FHD@60fps/4K@30fps).
The little thing is equally powerful as the official HQ cam. They have the same IMX477 sensor, same specs, and more importantly, ours can work OOTB!
You can also change the lens for different FoVs, we have a whole M12 lens kit (HQ cam version) for it.
You will be able to use it with our upcoming stereo HAT: multiple HQ cams, one Nano/NX board, working in true sync!
It’s not just made for drones, you can leverage it in so many ways/places.
What we mean by small:
It has the same board size as a camera module V2, all your old camera cases/housing, cable, etc. They will still work, that means you can have a smooth upgrade right away.
What we mean by lightweight:
The whole camera module weighs 10g.
To give you some clue, a standard HQ cam & 6 mm lens set are 70g in net weight.

It is perfectly compatible with all the stuff from the High Quality camera (including all these fancy lenses).

Raspberry Pi High Quality Camera: 5 Things to Know (Plus Some Pro Tips)
5 most concerning issues regarding the newly released Raspberry Pi High Quality Camera module and its lenses.

A brief sum-up of this Raspberry Pi High Quality camera:
a) The HQ camera is not the official V3 module, it is not here to replace the V2 camera.
b) The HQ cam can work with nearly all Raspberry Pi models.
c) Sony IMX477 is an Exmor RS sensor, the specs are pretty high, and the image/video quality is super impressive!
d) Removing the IR filter will void the warranty.
e) The RPI foundation has also released an official Raspberry Pi Camera Guide.
f) A tripod/bracket is necessary due to the weight of the whole camera & lens setup.
g) The HQ camera module will serve the market for at least 7 years.
h) You can’t use this high quality camera on Jetson Nano, a kernel driver is required.
i) You might need longer FPC cables, the 200 mm ribbon will be too short in actual uses.
j) The whole bundle costs $125 USD.

Bring out the widest EF lens I have to test Raspberry Pi High-quality camera shooting interview video.
I record the interview clips both internally and externally. I use my Macbook Pro 2015 to captures the Raspberry Pi 3B+ HDMI signal and use raspivid to record video in Raspberry Pi. I also record the footage using Canon T3i at the same time just for comparison.
In my opinion, the best result of interview footage comes from this command,
raspivid -f -ex fixedfps -awb fluorescent -ss 30000 -sh -5 -t 60000 -o

If you watched my two moon shot videos, you could clearly tell the second one is much better. In this video, I will tell you the 3 major things I changed from the first moon shot to the seconds and you can get the same result using a similar setup. I will also show you the trick to lock EF lens aperture so you can use that aperture when shooting on Raspberry Pi camera.
This is the command I used to take the video and got the best result in my opinion,
raspivid -t 300000 -w 1920 -h 1080 -fps 30 -b 17000000 -awb sun -ex night -ISO 100 -ev 1 -br 50 -o -ss 40000

Steps for configuration of the Raspberry PI Camera:
Once the Raspberry PI is powered on, open a terminal window.
And we execute:
"$ sudo apt update"
....
And next
"$ sudo apt full upgrade"
....
This is to ensure that the Raspberry PI is running in the latest version of Raspbian and it has all the latest patches/updates available to date.
After this, we need to execute also in the terminal
"sudo raspi-config"
You will need to select the Interfacing Options-P1 Camera. Then select Finish and reboot.
Now the Raspberry PI Camera should be set up, let’s do a quick test with Raspistill. Let's open a terminal window again and try the following:
"raspistill -v -o "
Taking a picture is very nice, but much better is to record a video. To do that, we can use raspivid.
"raspivid -o "
This records a 5 second video.
If you want a longer video, then you need to pass the -t parameter with the number of milliseconds
"raspivid -o -t 30000"
This records a 30s video.
Creating a Livestream
Now the fun part starts. To see what the camera is recording in realtime we can try:
"raspivid -o - -t 0 -n | cvlc -vvv stream:///dev/stdin --sout '#rtp{sdp=rtsp://:8554/}' :demux=h264"
